Fisher of Men Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Jeeez i cant believe all the haters! IM a cheesehead for life no dought! But Farve is and will always be a packer. If anything i think the jets brought him down more than he brought them down. I think he will be back for one more year, just to prove to all whats what. I wish he would have just stuck with the packers tho, i dont like how he went to the jets. He tried to stay with the Packers. They owed him another starting year and didn't give it to him, so he left. I, too, really like Favre, but I think it's time to hang it up (as he should have done last year). The Jets have nothing to complain about (how many wins did they have last year?) Quote
SuskyDude Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Put me down for "Should have retired 5 yrs ago." If I have to watch Brett cry on TV again I'm gonna lose it. I will miss watching him throw interceptions though. ;D Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted January 6, 2009 Super User Posted January 6, 2009 I have always enjoyed watching Brett play and have thought of him to be an exceptionally tough player. However, it seems like it is time for him to retire. He will be missed. Quote
bocabasser Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 as a die-hard dolphin fan, i am glad he came back! thanks brett! the jets Quote
ilovefooffur Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 I say it's time for him to hang them up for good. Quote
paul. Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 time to go i think. the jets should have realized that he plays well only 1 out of every 3 years. as good as he has been some years, he's been equally bad others. and you never know which qb is gonna show up on sunday. the wily, poised pro bowl caliber version or the careless gunslinger who offers up 3 stupid interceptions. i just wonder if all the offseason drama which finally ended in his time with the packers combined with his subsequent sub-par year with the jets will tarnish his legacy. t.o. and randy moss have both been labeled as trouble makers with gigantic egos. but imo favre has been just as much a trouble maker with just as much of an ego at points in his career as either of these 2, and yet he is mostly regarded as a golden boy. i've always felt he's been overrated. that said, i have no doubt he will be in canton. IMPY03 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I hope he stays with the jets another season...it will dramatically help the Dolphins win the AFC East again next season ;D I don't really care what he does just as long as I don't flip it to Sports Center and hear his name 30 times in a 30 minute time frame this whole spring/summer. JShrock07 Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 He should have not gone to the Jets. X 100!!! He ruined himself by that switch Quote
Dean Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 One of the NFl's all time most overrated quarterbacks.....period. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 10, 2009 Super User Posted January 10, 2009 Tired of Brett Favre. Let him go out in style and not try to hang on for another year. He has a great legacy with the Packers so it is time for him not to follow in the footsteps of other NFL players whose days are over and try their luck with one more sorry team. Goodbye Brett, we will miss you. Quote
