I've noticed some of you are changing your screen names....often.  I presume because you think this is funny or cute. But keep in mind a few things:

1.  You build up a reputation for yourself under your screen name.  Change it, and nobody knows who you are. Thus, you've lost all that credibility.

2.  When people try to search for your posts (because YOU posted something they wanted to see again), they can't find it because your screen name has changed.

For these reasons and more, I personally feel that changing your screen name is rude to your fellow members.  But, if you MUST do this, then at least choose a name similar enough to your old screen name so that people recognize you.  Burley is the only one who does this well. (still a pain in the rear to search for his posts, because you need to first figure what flavor of the day he is)

Glen,

You've got to cut Burley some slack on this. In fact for his literary work you ought to pay him. His screen name alone is a great source of BassResource.com entertainment for me.

On that note:

Top ten reason for Burley's screen name changes

10) likes to be a pain in the butt to find his posts

9) hard to track posts so lawsuits are difficult

8) likes to laugh at lawyers

7) still leading up to the final screen name of "Squirrely Burley"

6) West Virginia is a bit challenged for entertainment outlets

5) loves to post new pictures to practise his graphic art skills

4) uses the constant changes as "posting camoflage"

3) Burley has never had a "reputation"

ok fellow members take over from here

2) TBD

Rest assured, I'm not picking on Burley.  Clearly his name changes are such so that you still know who he is.

I'm specifically speaking about the copy-cats who are changing their names so drastically that nobody knows who they are anymore.

Seriously, only Burley can pull it off well.  ::)

You should see my list of potential future names.  Some of them aren't fit for an aircraft carrier though.

What are you talking about we had a surprise warm front hit us in Southern IL today and it hit at least 68 today. I've got to pay more attention to the weather because if I would have known I'd ahve been out on a lake. Even if the fog prevented me from seeing it! ;D

What part of So IL are you in? Are you thinking of going to the spring BRroad trip?

I'm just a couple miles outside of Carbondale. As far the the trip is concerned I plan on going but I don't know if I can do 5 days yet. I might stay a couple nights and drive a couple days since I'm probably only about 90 min to two hour drive away. I've also got to figure out the boat situation. My buddy and I use a 16ft John boat with a 15hp motor and we may just take it. I don't think we can afford to pay for hotel rooms, rental boats, ect. So I'm still trying to plan it all out but I'm about 95% sure I'll be there for at least 3 days of fishing!! I just hope my club hasn't scheduled a tourney during that week.

how dare you all associate Burley with West Virginia. I know of at least 5 women. 2 men, 2 dogs and a sheep named Fluffy that have a restraining order against him. Thanks but no thanks, VA can keep him. lol j/k man you know i would never file charges against you."again". lol
