GLADES Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I think it will be a defensive battle in the first half with a couple of field goals. In the second half, the offenses will open up. My prediction: Miami 23 Baltimore 20 Quote
fivesixone Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Sounds very possible... I think this one's definitely a toss-up, but... LETS GO DOLPHINS!!! Quote
Turtle. Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Miami needs to establish its run game early, heavy doses of brown and Williams is what it will take. If they are successful Miami could win.But this is a tall order against a stout ravens defense ranked third in the NFL. Flacco has been playing well if Miami fails to get pressure on him he may have a big day. I think it will be a good game and I'm looking forward to it.That said I have to give the edge to the ravens. Baltimore 21 Miami 17 Quote
rondef Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I am a huge Pats fan and I would like to see the Ravens win. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 4, 2009 Super User Posted January 4, 2009 It doesn't matter who wins. The Patriots aren't in the playoffs so all is well. Quote
frogtog Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Well I had HOPE but so much for that. :-[ Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 4, 2009 Super User Posted January 4, 2009 Lopsided and boring...unless you're a Ravens fan! Congrats Baltimore! 8-) Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 4, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 4, 2009 Lopsided and boring...unless you're a Ravens fan! 8-) x2 I was rooting for the underdog. Would have been nice, but oh well. No big deal. I don't care much for any of the AFC East and AFC North teams anyway. Quote
daviscw Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Chad Pennington sucked. The O-line sucked even worse. Quote
GLADES Posted January 4, 2009 Author Posted January 4, 2009 The Fins need to beef up their offensive line if they expect to win any games in the playoffs. You have to control the line of scrimage to win in the playoffs. The Ravens made them look weak. Chad is a game manager and cant carry the team. Today he tried to do too much, and made the critical mistakes. We are heading in the right direction though, and despite the bad loss, it was a great season. At least we wont have to hear about the Pats and Brady for a while, or the whole Jets disaster. Parcells is staying in Miami, and we need a another draft or two to beef up the holes with better talent. Hats off and good luck to the Ravens. Quote
fathom Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 now, i remember why i quit watching the dolphins in 98. things sure don't change much in a decade, huh? Quote
RiskKid. Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Hope my Titans are up to the task next Saturday.....I'll be there to root them on. My guess is it will be hard hitting and anybodies game. There is no love lost between these two teams. Quote
fivesixone Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Now I know why I've hated Chadwick Pennington all year..... :'( Quote
