Super User Catt Posted January 2, 2009 Super User Posted January 2, 2009 LSU did what one must do to stop any team which is to keep the other team's offense off the field. The ACC plays some outstanding football Quote
drmnbig Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 drmnbig, I'm in Roanoke and also a VT fan. After many, many years of being let down by the Hokies, I've learned to be realistic about them. They won't can't win a National Championship with Stinespring as O Coordinator, it just won't happen. Until they get an OC that can effectively move the ball down the field against anybody they play, they'll be the same old team. Great D, below average offense. They love to get a small lead and sit on it. They need someone who knows how to finish a team off. Close the door when they get the chance. Stinespring doesn't do that and suddenly sitting on that small lead comes back to bite 'em in the @.$.$. It was refreshing though to see them come out on top in a BCS game, cause it dont happen very often. The offense looked a lot better (they were less predictable for once) and the D played like they always do. And don't expect to get too much ACC love in these threads, there's way too many SEC 'homers' on here. Shhhhh!!!! I know this but it's still the best time of the year to talk smack with college football. I agree with you about Stinespring too. They easily have the talent to be a top 5 team as they've shown from time to time but it seems the offense is what ALWAYS messes things up for them. I'll still be hopeful though. 8-) Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 2, 2009 Super User Posted January 2, 2009 How about Ole Miss destroying Texas Tech? Makes me curious to see what the other offensive powerhouses in the Big 12 are going to do in their games... Quote
drmnbig Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 That one really surprised me! BTW, I've always thought Bama was overrated and this thread has me drooling to see them get drilled tonight. Quote
drmnbig Posted January 3, 2009 Author Posted January 3, 2009 I know it's not even the end of the first quarter but I have to say it....... ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! ;D 21-0 Utah on top! Quote
