Super User Chris at Tech Posted November 23, 2008 Super User Posted November 23, 2008 Sounds intriguing. Who else can truly understand the tackle obsession more than other fishermen What's the deal here? 1 item less than $30, or as much as you can buy for $30? Any other rules (for example, like you need to buy local/regional fishing products to send to your receiver)? Quote

Super User grimlin Posted November 23, 2008 Super User Posted November 23, 2008 I'm not doing Bass pro's this year...so i guess i'll join this one. What's the minimum to spend? I'm probably going over the $30 mark...lol Quote
Super User Dan: Posted November 24, 2008 Super User Posted November 24, 2008 $30, that's the limit. Doesn't matter how many items or what it is (as long as it is fishing related), just try to get something you think the other person will enjoy. It might be a good idea to search through and read the posts made by the person you are shopping for so you can get an idea of what they need, what type of techniques they use, or other information that might help you get the best possible gift. Catt, PM me your address. Quote

-HAWK- Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 QUESTION, what if there is an ODD number of participants? Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 25, 2008 Super User Posted November 25, 2008 Has anyone noticed that the only ONE of the Mods (ghoti) has elected to participate? Shall we shame them or let sleeping logs die? ;D Quote
Super User Dan: Posted November 25, 2008 Super User Posted November 25, 2008 QUESTION, what if there is an ODD number of participants? I'll figure it out. I will see if I can get one more participant and if I can't, I will not participate. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted November 25, 2008 Super User Posted November 25, 2008 Actually it's a bunch of ODD PARTICIPANTS if you ask me Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted November 26, 2008 Super User Posted November 26, 2008 I was wondering if everyone who is participating would like to mention a few items they could use. This would help those who are buying for you, and could help avoid getting something you already have triples of. I could use soft plastic tubes, 1/4 oz skirted finesse jigs, Smallie Beavers, and soft plastic worms. Doesn't that kind of take the fun out of this? Granted I'm only a first-time participant in this, but isn't it a little more fun to let the buyer choose and surprise the receiver? Quote
CFFF 1.5 Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 I could use a Spro BBZ-1 4" Shad in Dirty Shad Color Floating...hint...hint. Quote
Bassboss Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 This sound really fun! I'll do it if I get the Ok from my dad to send my address. Quote

I wasn't sure, so I threw the idea out there. If no one bites, that's just fine by me. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted November 30, 2008 Super User Posted November 30, 2008 Has anyone noticed that the only ONE of the Mods (ghoti) has elected to participate? Shall we shame them or let sleeping logs die? ;D If you're going to stir the pot at least have your facts straight Mike. ghoti is not a moderator, he is BR Staff. So, as of right now the count for participating BR Staff is 1, the count for BR Staff/moderators is ZERO. I'll be in by the 5th Quote
