RiskKid. Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 I'm bored....all packed waiting for the bass bus to show up and have some time to kill......sooooo, I decided I need to pick out a NL team to root for this year. Yankees are and always will be my team so this is for the NL only. I'm now a BRAVES fan in the NL for this year (I decided I can pick out a new NL team each year) I went and got a Braves cap for the trip We should all pick a team in the other league from our team so we can join in the banter for both leagues GO YANKEES & BRAVES : Quote
CJ Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Okay, I'll root for the Cards and who ever is playing the Yankees! Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Hey No Yankee fan should be allowed to wear any NL cap, CJ Ill give you another Rapala if you send me Karls Cap Quote
CJ Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 I'll have to see about how bigga boy he is before I can make any promises. LOL Then again, if he starts watching "real" baseball (NL), he'll probally forget about the Yanks. Quote

Hey you better hurry, Naruto just came on! ;D ...and interrupt the Telletubies marathon? You gotta be kidding me ;D AL has won 3 of the last 4 WS. It'll be 4 out of 5 after Bosox wins this year. Quote
CJ Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Well, the Teletubbies would be better than watching an AL game! Atleast they have a "strategy" for eating tubby custard! Close enough to a squeeze play or perhaps a sacrifice. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted March 23, 2008 Super User Posted March 23, 2008 Speed & Alpster are here and well fed....it's cigar time and I'm lookin good in the Braves cap.....in fact so good Alpster is gonna get one too and Speedbeads on the verge....It's a Braves revolution!!!! CJ Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 OOPS! I thought your name was Wayne. You must be drinking to wear a Braves hat. Hey Muddy, how many Rapalas can I get for 3 Atlanta hats? It seems I may have found a weakness. Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Thats it Chris take advantage of 3 toasted Braves fans Quote
CJ Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Muddy, Cards are winning 3-1 going into the 3rd! Delgado just burnt that clumsy left feilder of ours though. I wish my dad was the pitching coach. : Quote
CJ Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Well make that 7-3 Cards. Pujols and Ankiel struck! I hope this is a sign of things to come! Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Muddy, Cards are winning 3-1 going into the 3rd! Delgado just burnt that clumsy left feilder of ours though. I wish my dad was the pitching coach. : They should have used Gibson as their coach< Delgado won't go the season, we may be relying on Anderson as a pitch hitter. Puljos is one of the greats, and he is trying to play through an injury, which is more than our primadonna Martinez is willing to do. Hope the Cards do well enough to get their bonus money so they can at least watch the series on decent HD bigscreen TV's ;D Quote
bassmasta7 Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Owww muddy. I better talk some smack now before the season starts because I dont think i will have much to talk about. It's not looking to bright this year. The good news is for the first time since about 2003, you can get tix easy. Okay, who is waking up at 6am tomorrow morning to watch the first game of the season between the Sox and A's? I know i am. Quote

I know i am. I wouldn't miss it for the world. (sorry Dean, but spring break rules!) "We know they'll be watching. They always do," said Red Sox manager Terry Francona. "The game could be played in the middle of the night. They don't care. They want to watch the Red Sox. We're used to that. We have the most passionate fans in the world." Quote
Dean Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 Ah you lucky little piece of fish poop. ;D I don't have spring break until the week of April 12th! Quote

Dean, what are you really going to miss? Destruction of the A's? As if that hasn't been done in a few playoff series in recent years. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 25, 2008 Super User Posted March 25, 2008 Have you guys seen the MLB Game Audio package? http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/gameday_audio.jsp?c_id=mlb You get access to every home and away broadcast for the 2008 season, as well as the playoffs. Since XM won't let me listen to games via their website, I'm going to give this a go this season. Not a bad deal for $15. I'd pay that for one game of listening to Ron Santo. Quote
