Super User burleytog Posted August 9, 2008 Super User Posted August 9, 2008 MLB should perform weekly pork fat checks on CC's blood. I bet he eats a case of brats every d**n day. Between him and Fielder, I bet the state of Wisconsin is having a d**n hard time meeting the demand for sausage and cheese. Never mind beer. Quote

As long as CC keeps throwing CG's, and keeps his pitch count down, heck, I'll send him a few cases myself. Even with CC and tons of fun Fielder, Wisco is pretty well stocked on sausage, cheese and brew. If there's ever a nucular war, we'll still have enough to go around. Even though it's a stereotype, it really is true. On game day, we sit around and eat cheese, homemade sausage, and hop juice. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 9, 2008 Super User Posted August 9, 2008 Heilman is on a roll Thur he won a %@*@ Game and last night he saved a %^^@ Game! This time against a quality batting lineup against Fla. I am still not getting all excited this Mets team is erratic at best :-/ Quote
CJ Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 OUCH Cubbies! That one is gonna leave a mark. ;D Quote
Super User burleytog Posted August 9, 2008 Super User Posted August 9, 2008 Bah, just one game. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 9, 2008 Super User Posted August 9, 2008 One the last day of the season all you need is one more W than the team in 2nd place : Quote
CJ Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I like the Cards chances. I don't think they will win the division but they got a good shot at the wildcard. When Wainwright returns he will go to the bullpen for late innings. This will solve a lot of problems. I like tonights match up. Carp still has his stuff and I think the Cubbies are gonna have a slow day at the plate. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 10, 2008 Super User Posted August 10, 2008 Bah, just one game. Yea, but when the mentally unbalanced goon gives up nine earned... that will stick with him, at least for a few days. It always does with head cases. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted August 10, 2008 Super User Posted August 10, 2008 He'll shake it off. First bad start in a while. Just couldn't locate like he normally does. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 10, 2008 Super User Posted August 10, 2008 What a week Pelfry is tipping his stuff to the Marlins, they are on every pitch! Pelfry gets shellacked and Hielman wins one and saves one Well 2 outta 3 ain't bad from the Fla 9 : Quote
Super User burleytog Posted August 11, 2008 Super User Posted August 11, 2008 Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago whattaya say? The Cubs are gonna win today! Quote
Super User burleytog Posted August 11, 2008 Super User Posted August 11, 2008 Wow, Carlos Lee out for the rest of the season with a broken finger. There goes any hope the Asstros had staying near .500. Quote

llPa1nll Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Do the Red Sox ever win any One run games??? > :( > Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted August 11, 2008 Author Super User Posted August 11, 2008 Do the Red Sox ever win any One run games??? > :( > No. We either win by 10 or lose by 1. At least Bay is doing decent. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 13, 2008 Super User Posted August 13, 2008 Santana wins, he should hae 14 instead of 10. Thats why he wants to finish his own starts. The bull pen blew 4 mutli run leads and he ate those loses! Quote
Super User burleytog Posted August 14, 2008 Super User Posted August 14, 2008 d**n, Atlanta sucks. :'( Quote
CJ Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Yep the Braves sold out and it's like playing a minor league team. The Cubs and Brewers are getting the week off while the Cards are playing a good Florida club. Really sucks to have a winning season and be so many games out. The NL west should'nt even have a team in the playoffs. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 14, 2008 Super User Posted August 14, 2008 Alfonso Soriano is a freakin' joke. The headhunting on Atlanta's part was also a no-no...he should have fired one right at his ribs. Knowing Soriano, that probably would have put him on the DL for the remainder of the season. Bench him for a game Lou!!! Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 15, 2008 Super User Posted August 15, 2008 Here we are in first place again, I still can't get excited, Last Sept. looms large in my psyche! Quote
