Super User Gone_Phishin Posted July 30, 2008 Super User Posted July 30, 2008 Milwaukee = Algonquin for 'The Cubs Win!' 'We're not worthy, we're not worthy.' Quote
Super User burleytog Posted July 30, 2008 Super User Posted July 30, 2008 Cubbies picked a hell of a time to pull their heads out of their rear ends. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 30, 2008 Super User Posted July 30, 2008 It's all about Pinella, he is looking like a candidate for Manager of the Year! Well we won last night still .5 games ahead of the Philthies. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 You should fear the Angels, they made some good moves and are set up to be the Red Socks most serious threat to get to the Fall Classic Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 If we do not get someone sparked up in our relief squad, we are doomed this year! Another game tanked in later innings :'( Quote
llPa1nll Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Will someone PLEASE take the cancer known as Manny "#$%#ing" Ramirez off of my beloved Red Sox. He has now gone to far and has now become a distraction to the team. Get the Bum GONE!!! Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 31, 2008 Super User Posted July 31, 2008 He would look great in a Yankee uniform don't you think? : Quote
Uncle Leo Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I live in Chicagoland, either way Cubs or Sox the future looks bright. Quote
llPa1nll Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 He would look great in a Yankee uniform don't you think? : Oh Muddy Manny's antics and the Yankees media in NYC would give Joe Girardi a migrane within the first week, easily. He has great numbers in recent years they have taken a bit of a slide. He opts out of games where the opposing pitcher is a hard throwing fastball pitcher. The last straw for me has been his lack of effort, quitting on his team. The icing on the cake has been his 2 shots against the Red Sox in consecutive days. Get him out of here! Quote
llPa1nll Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Ding Dong Mannys Gone! Mannys Gone! Ding Dong Mannys Gone! Mannys Gone! Good Luck LA , I feel bad for Joe Torre he deserves better than to deal with that mental case. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 31, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 31, 2008 I've got tickets to see the Redbirds play the Reds -- let me rephrase that, I got the tickets to go see my beloved Griffey play. Now the game is meaningless. I should have got Cubs tickets. :'( Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 1, 2008 Super User Posted August 1, 2008 Well played Sir, well played. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted August 1, 2008 Super User Posted August 1, 2008 Well played Sir, well played. Last two weeks should be very very interesting. IMO the Brewers just gave up after Johnson the Ninja chopped Weeks in Monday's game. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 2, 2008 Super User Posted August 2, 2008 WHAT A MESS TONIGHT::::: The Pirates beat the Cubs,The Rockies beat Florida,Cards beat the Pfilthies, and the Mets loose to one of the worse temas in the Majors the Stros>>>> Some kind of hodoo goin on tonight Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 2, 2008 Super User Posted August 2, 2008 Sounds good to me, the Crew gained a game after pummeling the Braves 9-0. It feels good to finally be on the other side of that 0. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 3, 2008 Super User Posted August 3, 2008 &*(@#*@# WAGNER; Well I am going to sleep, they (METS) will probablly have another L in the AM. ONCE AGAIN AFTER THE 7th INNING, This time that big mouth from Huston, Mr.Wagner dishes a 2 run ninth to give his old team a tie, THIS IS GETTING SUCKIER BY THE WEEK. Hielman and Wagner should go at the end of this season,HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE :'( Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted August 3, 2008 Author Super User Posted August 3, 2008 I could get used to this: Quote
Super User Muddy Posted August 3, 2008 Super User Posted August 3, 2008 THE NO BULL PEN METS LOST ANOTHER AFTER THE 7th they just tanked 5 to 4. This team is going no where come October > I hope that things change, MINYA FOLLOWS RANDOPLH , he let the NL East best Bullpen walk away 2 years ago for overpriced , over the hill veterans. HEY CJ < Forget waiting for the end of the seaon; What color you want, i will have it in the mail by Wed. :-/ Quote
CJ Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Muddy, Gone Phishin and you won the bet I made with ya. It may take me a little bit but I'm gonna pay up. The Cards are dead. There's no way they can compete with what the Cubs and Brewers are doing. They should have sold out before the deadline. Lohse would have brung a nice price. He'll be gone for a big contract next year. We could have gotten a top prospect for him. I do feel that next year the Cards are going to have a great club. They'll have plenty of money to spend and they're getting a great deal for their outfield. A lot of it will depend on Carpenter's health. The owners realize they have the greatest player in the game and the time is now! Quote
