Super User Muddy Posted July 23, 2008 Super User Posted July 23, 2008 Another great Santana effort wasted I don't know if I hate the Philthies or our bullpen more :-/ Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted July 24, 2008 Super User Posted July 24, 2008 Steve Bartman is being offered some serious coin to make an appearance at a Chicago sports convention. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Cubs-fan-Steve-Bartman-offered-25K-for-just-one?urn=mlb,95542 The fact that people are still blaming him for the chubbies losing the NLCS in 03' is about as pathetic as, well, not winning a championship in 100 years. ;D Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted July 24, 2008 Super User Posted July 24, 2008 Three straight complete games for CC! Seven in a row for the Crew, and six on the road. Next week's chubbies @ Brew Town series is definitley going to have a playoff-like atmosphere. Go Crew and send them fibs packing. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 24, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 24, 2008 The Yanks are getting closer... The Angels and Rays don't worry me, but them pinstripes do for some reason. :-/ Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 25, 2008 Super User Posted July 25, 2008 2 outta 3 ain't bad and now we are one game in first, Hey CJ your buch is comin into Shea now NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-) Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted July 25, 2008 Super User Posted July 25, 2008 2 outta 3 ain't bad and now we are one game in first, Hey CJ your buch is comin into Shea now NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8-) Shouldn't be a problem Muddy, the Crew just took all four games in St. Louis. Chicago, can you hear footsteps? On a related note CJ, this series will decide the winner of the 'Great Crankbait Wager.' This is a three game series at NY, and we're tied 2-all. I can't believe I'm cheering for the Mets. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 26, 2008 Super User Posted July 26, 2008 lovin them CARDS TONIGHT Hey Gone Phishin , looks like CJ is going shopping for the both of us this season PS If the Braves are gonna make a go for it , now is the time to do it Quote
CJ Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Hey guys, just got around. I'm sweatin' bullets. The bullpen has a 1 run lead. :-[ I'm not going shopping... YET : Quote
Super User burleytog Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 Wonder if it's about time for Tony Meatball to start making golf plans for October. Quote
CJ Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 If the Cards don't move on some help with the bullpen he can forget the playoffs. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 I hate the Carnials, after the 9th inning :-? Quote
CJ Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 That's why he must be the greatest! Puhols has a 5 hit game but, Schumaker has a rare 6 hit game. Wonder when the last time that happened? I ain't going shopping yet! ;D Quote
RiskKid. Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I've created a monster fellas.... Since I took my sons to Yankee Stadium last weekend my oldest has become obsessed after being there for two Bomber wins! He wears his Yankee gear all the time, is hitting the sports bars (he's 30) to watch all the games he can etc.... etc... It's a great thing to witness!!! He is a math and physics teacher and has done some interesting research. Based on the populations of New York and Boston payrolls of their respective teams break down as follows per citizen: Yankees and Mets combined = $16 per citizen Red Sox = $23 per citizen Yes Muddy, the Bronx is responsible for 2/3 of that. Just goes to prove where the evil team resides! ;D The crazy and best thing is that we were there for the start of the current win streak....I'm thinking we should go more often Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 27, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 27, 2008 d**n Y*****s Quote

CJ Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 We be lovin dem Carnials again! CJ , Crawfish or Bluegill will do ;D You got me Muddy. Lohse didn't have it today. The Cards are a wreck and whether Tony wants to admit it or not, it's the bullpen. I wish they would throw in the towel and sell out! Trade Lohse, Ryan, and few more for prospects and start rebuilding. So what model Muddy? :-[ LOL Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 Hey what ever the wager was, If I win just give a kid locally a lure, just make sure it's orange or blue : Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted July 28, 2008 Super User Posted July 28, 2008 lovin them CARDS TONIGHT Hey Gone Phishin , looks like CJ is going shopping for the both of us this season PS If the Braves are gonna make a go for it , now is the time to do it Winner winner chicken dinner. I've been out of town in the northwoods all weekend, it's nice to come back home and see the Cards lose and the Crew one game out. I'm not sure what model yet CJ, I still have some thinking to do.
