Super User Tin Posted April 9, 2008 Super User Posted April 9, 2008 Listen to you two guys getting all sappy over all this....... We all know the real reason the Bosox lost that series was because.... THE CURSE was still in effect Agreed, the Yanks now suffer from the curse of A-ROD/GREED, karma is a biotc_. Quote
Fish Man Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 great. the O's-rangers gome got postponed and they are supposed to play a double header tommoro. i still cant get the last double header out of my head. score of 30-3 comes to mind Quote
RiskKid. Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Hey guys check this out: http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/schedule/promotions_popup.jsp?c_id=min&puid=2008_05_02_detmlb_minmlb_1 A baseball shad rap or I think it's a lipless crank.....probably will only work in Minnesota!! ;D Quote
nboucher Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Hey, Carl, my wife hates it that I only get teary-eyed about baseball stuff. What can I say: I'm a sap for the sport. By the way, I wish they made a Yankees crankbait. The bass around here would hit it out of sheer aggression: imagine the hits at the end of your rod (so to speak)! Quote

Super User burleytog Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 I hate Pittsburgh. How's that? Didn't the chubbies win yesterday? Taken 27 innings over the last two games. Quote

Forgot about that....the Phillies gotta be lovin' it. If they can get to Chicago's starters, the pen is in trouble. Quote

Super User burleytog Posted April 12, 2008 Super User Posted April 12, 2008 I hate Philthydelphia. Quote
CJ Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Well see how the Brew Crew does against my Birds! Oh and btw, we're leading the central! It may be short lived but if we can hang in there until we get oure aces back....LOOK OUT! Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 I'm looking forward to this series too. You'll get a chance to see a few of our young, very unproven starters. Enjoy that .5 game lead, it ain't gonna last. The lack of a middle infield is gonna kill the Cards in the longrun. Quote
CJ Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Looks like the Brew Crew is is gonna need to tighten up! ;D Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 Looks like the Brew Crew is is gonna need to tighten up! ;D No doubt about it. Dave Bush drives me crazy; he came over in the Lyle Overbay trade with the Jays a few years ago. Yovani Gallardo comes off the DL this weekend, so it's either the pen or another team for Bush. We've been too streaky offensivley in the last few series. Prince and Braun need to wake their bats up Pedro Cerrano style. Quote
nboucher Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 What's with Gabe Kapler? I love that guy. Smart pickup. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 What's with Gabe Kapler? I love that guy. Smart pickup. He's had a pretty hot bat, but went on the DL yesterday. He ran into the wall during bp. Crazy strory though....from managing A ball last year, to an offensive weapon so far this season. I won't lie, when the Crew signed Kapler this past offseason I was like WHY? He shut me up real quick. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 18, 2008 Super User Posted April 18, 2008 Yep, I truly hate Cincinnati. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-080417-marty-brennaman-chicago-cubs-reds,1,6962881.mp3file Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 21, 2008 Super User Posted April 21, 2008 Man, Pittsburgh should just fold to spare the rest of the league the pain of playing them. They haven't had a winning season since 92. Alright Dom, time for the Mess to see some real baseball! Quote
Super User Tin Posted April 22, 2008 Super User Posted April 22, 2008 Pitching is finally getting good, the offense is firing on all cylanders, except for Papi. He has the lowest average on the team by 100 points. Youk is on fire. 9-1 in their last 10, leading the division by 2 games. The Sox are heating up, until August anyway. What is up with the D-Backs? I'm shocked. Quote
