RiskKid. Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Sooo....there we were in the basement all by ourselves and then the Blue Jays and Orioles had to fly in and join us........I hate birds!! Quote
Super User senile1 Posted June 11, 2008 Super User Posted June 11, 2008 It may be the basement but it's not a bad basement to be in. All three teams are a game over .500 and only 6 games out. 8-) Quote

Super User burleytog Posted June 12, 2008 Super User Posted June 12, 2008 !$^@#!#(#$($&%($)_!@_! Braves Fonzie was gone once before this season, team did OK without him. Move DeRo to left, put Font or Ced at 2nd. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 15, 2008 Super User Posted June 15, 2008 Man, the Dbacks have certainly come back to earth. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 15, 2008 Super User Posted June 15, 2008 Is Willie Randolph done for? Is Dom dancing a jig? Quote
CJ Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Can't find the story on that Burley. I'm sure it will get out. Cards had a big scare today. Molina took a hard shot. They say it's just a mild concussion. It was a nasty collision at the plate. It could have been prevented if that klutz, Chris Duncan, could throw a ball. He must be the biggest goof in MLB. If his daddy wasn't the pitching coach which is Tony's buddy, he would be gone. Anyway, we'll start falling off soon. I can't see how we can keep winning unless the other teams keep giving us games. : Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 It may come back to bite me in the ***, but IMO the Cubs and Cards are the best two teams in the NL. There was a video piece on Yahoo Sports about how the Phillies were the best team in the NL based on their lineup. The thing is, you gotta win games to back that up. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 So where is CC going, and for what (players)? Quote
CJ Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 So where is CC going, and for what (players)? I know where he needs to go and for what players. I won't mention their names but their initials are CHRIS DUNCAN and JASON ISRINGHAUSEN Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 So where is CC going, and for what (players)? I know where he needs to go and for what players. I won't mention their names but their initials are CHRIS DUNCAN and JASON ISRINGHAUSEN Good luck with that trade. If the Cards really wanted him, they'd have to part a few guys like Shane Robinson, Jesse Todd, or Noel Salas, etc. The thing is, is that really worth the Cards parting with a bunch of talent for a few months of CC? A ton of people are mentioning the chubbies, but who do they have to offer that Cleveland wants? I will personally be ticked if the Crew makes a run at him. Not saying he won't help another team, but selling the farm in Milwaukee just doesn't make sense for Sabathia. Not this season. That one guy won't push us over the hump, and if they part with either Gamel, LaPorta, or Escobar, I'll be livid. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 We need help in the rotation, but I don't know if we need it that much. And deal would probably require moving Hoffpair, Pie and perhaps Cedeno. Quote

senko_77 Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Cj, we didn't have Big Papi, and Kevin Cash was catching so V-tek wasn't in the lineup....our biggest hitter out and no captain and you still barely scraped out a win. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted June 21, 2008 Author Super User Posted June 21, 2008 So Hookem, what happened to them Red Sox last night? We're trying to save all of our players for the All-Star game. Gotta keep the AL's winning streak alive you know (What's it make, like 10 straight now? That stinkin' tie don't count) Quote
