Guest muddy Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Hey Risk Kid; You may want to inquire, but at Shea they will be selling the old seats, see if the Yankees are doing the same. I an trying to buy now, but my first lead was some shyster, i will contact the Mets this week, gonna put it in Elaine's back yard. Quote
CJ Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Yeah..they sold the seats to the old Busch Stadium. I couldn't afford one. Just a couple more weeks guys and it will be game time!!! Quote
CJ Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Okay! I gotta brand new Rapala that says the Cards will post a winning record against the Mets! Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 GO ASTROS!!! 8-) Valverde is a nice pick-up. Being a Brewers fan, I definitely don't like the fact of having to see him in the NL Central. Otherwise......you guys are going nowhere. Even in the broke Central. How many more seasons till Carlos Lee eats himself out of left field? ;D Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted March 18, 2008 Author Super User Posted March 18, 2008 It'll be interesting to see what the Astros do this year. They've went through a serious roster overhaul. Quote

Gotta love Cecil Cooper. I grew up cheering for him. He was one of my fav Brewers as a kid. Coooop. God, I miss yelling that. I really don't see the 'Stros going anywhere. Miguel Tejada? Give me a break. The NL Central should be a two team race. Go Crew. Death to the Chubbies. Fukedome? Fukewiener. Although, if they do deal for Roberts, they'll be tuff to beat. He's a dangerous guy to have in the top third of the order. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted March 18, 2008 Super User Posted March 18, 2008 Okay! I gotta brand new Rapala that says the Cards will post a winning record against the Mets! I'll take that bet. I'll take a DT by the way. Quote

Anyone but the chubbies. I bet you a second Rapala that even the perennial cellar-dwellers Reds finish the season with a better overall record than the Cards. Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Gentlemen: BHetting is a very evil , unchristian act; I will double those bets, betting against the Mets this year is not a good thing Quote
RiskKid. Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Well I don't have a dog in this hunt since I'm a member of the newly reincarnated Bronx Zoo.......BUT.... CJ, IMHO this is probably not the best bet you've made......BUT.... I'll be if you win!! Quote
CJ Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Ahh...I finally "lured" in the guy I was looking for! Risk kid, it ain't a good bet for me but it will be worth a few Rapalas just for the fun! I got Muddy doubled down and Gone-Phishin down. Sorry guys, that's all of the Rapalas I am willing to lose......if I lose! Muddy, Grandma said it was okay as long as it was a friendly wager. DISCLAIMER:Bass Resource has got nothing to do with this. It's not gambling only a friendly lure swap with stipulations. : Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Friendly it is CJ, and I bet Albert has a banner year, do not believe for a minuite he won't have them in the mix. I don't know how bad that elbow really is ;D Quote
CJ Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Muddy, reports have said the elbow is feeling fine. Earlier they did say if the Cards aren't in contention after the break, Pujols will probally go ahead with surgery. I just hope they do what is best for him in the long run. He will be the greatest hitter the Cards ever had and that's saying a whole lot! Stan Musial's numbers have set a high bar to any hitter. Anyway, I think it's the Met's turn. They really got a great team. Reyes is the most exciting player to watch in the game today and look what ya'll got backin' him. And I know all of your guys are hungry! Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 21, 2008 Super User Posted March 21, 2008 An hour spent at cubs.com has me ready for the season to start. Time for my annual Cubs Shop splurge. Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Hey Burley : Cubs and Carinals Fans and Clubs are my favorites, AFTER THE METS OF COURSE> I hope to one day see the Cubs win a World Series. You had one of my favorite players of all times ERNIE BANKS, remember he said something like' It's a nice day, let's play two" can you imagine anyone saying that today. Still want to shoot the guy who got those lights on Wrigley 8-) Quote

Still want to shoot the guy who got those lights on Wrigley 8-) I love Cards/Cubs games. I've only been to one MLB park, and that's Bush Stadium. Me and my brother--huge Cards fan-- usually head up to St Louis for a few games each year. Gotta love those 7 hour drives. Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 22, 2008 Super User Posted March 22, 2008 Got my Red Sox stuff yesterday, hats are too expensive these days. I bought a white fitted New Era with a green B and it cost me $35. > Hate to make you drool Hook'em, but I also got a St. Patty's day Ellsbury shirt. 8-) Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 22, 2008 Posted March 22, 2008 Well Perez is throwin good, but Maine and Santana look good for at least 30 w's between the 2 of em 8-) wright finally connected last night, and Reyes is starting to get his wheels in shape. I am liking our chances so far Quote
