Super User bilgerat Posted December 21, 2008 Super User Posted December 21, 2008 Ok, post 'em here. This one's from a 1973 classic called The Seven Ups. Useless trivia: The bad guy driving the getaway car in this one is the same bad guy that drives the Dodge Charger in Bullitt, another great car chase flick. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted December 21, 2008 Super User Posted December 21, 2008 Bullett staring Steve McQueen. Quote
moby bass Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 That would be Bill Hickman. He also played one of the detectives in "The French Connection" Actually, I don't think there are any better car chase scenes, IMHO Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted December 22, 2008 Super User Posted December 22, 2008 Quote Bullett staring Steve McQueen. X2 Quote
KevO Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Reality TV circa 1994? O.J. and the white bronco. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted December 22, 2008 Super User Posted December 22, 2008 BULLET close second; Car chase through Bensonhurst in FRENCH CONNECTION Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Matrix reloaded - on the hwy with the twins and the suit guy jumping from car to car. Not very realistic but that was all so very cool. Also, keeping with Bullit, The dead pool. Dirty Harry being chased by a R/C 'vette is just classic. Quote

Super User cart7t Posted December 22, 2008 Super User Posted December 22, 2008 Bullitt and French Connection set the bar really high long ago. I'm not sure I've seen a movie car chase since that could beat either one. Quote
atx_newbie Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Duel. That's one of the first movies that I can remember watching. My dad and I were on a trip somewhere, spending the night in a motel, and we watched that one. I couldn't have been older than 5. But I also like the Charlie Sheen movie, I think it's just called "The Chase." It's really cheesy, but man that woman was smokin! Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 22, 2008 Super User Posted December 22, 2008 While I am a huge Steve McQueen fan Jason Statham's Bank Job chase at the start of Transporter 1 is pretty awesome. Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 22, 2008 Super User Posted December 22, 2008 Oh yea how about Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage) in Eleanor (Gone in 60 Seconds) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=242ixkBIz8w&feature=related Quote
-HAWK- Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Quote Oh yea how about Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage) in Eleanor (Gone in 60 Seconds) This is by far my favorite. What an awesome movie all together. Quote
Pitchinkid Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 From a younger guys perspective, the Fast and the Furious probably the best. I don't know how many tractor trailers there are with enough ground clearance for a supra but it was very entertaining. Plus all the idiots in the parking lot after the movie with there moms 88 delta was "amazing" as well. Quote
GLADES Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Vanishing Point is another good old movie Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted December 22, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 22, 2008 Not a car chase, but a very intense scene from a 1977 movie called "Sorcerer". Briefly, four criminals from different parts of the world end up in the jungle, where they have to drive two trucks loaded with nitroglycerine through the jungle to put out an oilfield fire. The full scene is much longer, but this will give you the general idea. Quote
Super User Micro Posted December 23, 2008 Super User Posted December 23, 2008 Bullitt. Not only the action, but the sound is great. Quote
