Tokyo Tony Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Some of these pictures are really cool. I've experienced a couple of these types of ice storms, and they're great opportunities to snap some photos, especially if it's sunny the next day. One of the best days of my childhood was when I went sledding around a local golf course the day after an ice storm. Great times. http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Northeast-Ice-Storm/ss/events/sc/121208icestormneweng Quote
Super User Muddy Posted December 16, 2008 Super User Posted December 16, 2008 Nice work Tony! We had ice this year also, not a bad as 3 years ago, but a lot just the same Whatever they pay those power guys to go up in the buckets with wires arching all over the place in those temps is not enough! Cigarlover 1 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Whatever they pay those power guys to go up in the buckets with wires arching all over the place in those temps is not enough! You're exactly right! Those guys have truly become saviors over the past few days in my neck of the woods. Amy, Kathryn and I were without power from Friday 8a to Sun noon. It's hard to imagine life, as matter a fact it's impossible to imagine life without electricity. Those 2 and a half days were trying for us and there some people up here in my area that still don't have power and are told it won't be up until Christmas or after. Sorry to hijack Tony. It is beautiful to see and even more so in person. Quote
