Super User fishfordollars Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 We had an official snowfall of just over 5" yesterday and last night and it is snowing like crazy in New Orleans at this time. What's up with this crazy weather? Quote
-HAWK- Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hey maybe will have a white christmas down in South Florida!!!!! ;D ;D Global Warming at its finest. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Wow, 5" of snow? That must be crazy for you guys that far south. Your roads must be a mess, with no snow removal equipment. Good luck, Falcon Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Man it really does suck being you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck with the snow and drive very carefully. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 I want some snow :'( Quote
Skunked in DR Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I want some snow :'( You're welcome to some of mine. Pick up only, no deliveries. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted December 11, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Naturally most of our freeways are closed this morning. Ice covers all from the downtown area and to the east. If anyone is coming into Houston from the east or northeast you may as well wait a while. Bridges are being sanded, but most are still snowcovered and closed. I would wait until around noon. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 5" dang. We havent had that much in a long time. I'm staying in MO. To much snow in the south. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Here in Richmond, Virginia, when it snows everyone goes to the grocery store and then drives into a ditch. ;D I sure would love to have a white Christmas. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted December 11, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Got lots of pictures. I'm just to stupid to know how to post a few. Quote
Hookem Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 The Austin area got a dusting Tuesday night. Tuesday's high was 81 around 1pm. Then it was 41 by 5pm. I hate penguin weather. > Bright side is that bedders should start showing up on the power plant lakes. We'll see come Sunday! 8-) Quote
Bassboss Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I heard about that, my uncle lives in Houston too, he called us up this morning to tell us! Quote
Olebiker Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Here in Richmond, Virginia, when it snows everyone goes to the grocery store and then drives into a ditch. ;D I used to manage a department store in Louisville, Kentucky when it snowed we would get two kinds of customers in the store: Pregnant women with little kids, and old ladies returning things they had bought months earlier. On one snowy day I had an old lady return some unworn dress shirts she had found among her late husband's things. He had been dead for fifteen years. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Got lots of pictures. I'm just to stupid to know how to post a few. Its super simple on BR. In your post screen use the Attach 1 click browse. Then select the picture you want to insert. Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 MAHAHAHHA revenge! Us northerners are fishing in fine fall weather while you fellas are buried in the drifts. At long last! Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 12, 2008 Super User Posted December 12, 2008 Jack I could have told you this would happen as soon as we put our entry fee on the line Quote
moby bass Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Did Al Gore come down and visit your state? Everywhere he goes, it gets cold. ;D Quote
bass or bass ? Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 We had a light dusting of snow here in Phoenix around Christmas time about 5 years ago. Very rare. Happy fishing. ~B.A.S.S.~N.A.F.C.~BoatU.S.~N.R.A.~A.M.A.~ Quote
Super User cart7t Posted December 12, 2008 Super User Posted December 12, 2008 Perfect time for Oprah and Al Gore to do a Global warming show live from the big easy. BTW, not a single snow shovel in the city of New Orleans so they'll get by with crawdad boil stirring paddles. Quote
