I feel that you are trying to get rid of me just because I can spell, use pronunciation and know how to capitalize the first word of a sentence.  Your spell-checker will save many, but I will still be lurking.  Beware, those of you too lazy to capitalize the word "I"

Listen up Pamper boy. Placing a comma before the word "and" is new school.  Both ways are grammatically correct.

I was taught to put the comma before the "and," and I think it works better that way.  As a reader, it is easier to identifiy that you are reading a list.

That's just what my English teacher taught us.  I ALWAYS used a comma before "and", but she told us that it was incorrect.
