Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Before it's over with , there are going to be a lot of people without jobs. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 I wish you the best of luck. I may be getting the axe as well. :-/ Quote
FishingBuds Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Sorry man, it sucks. I'm getting close myself. The Bail outs a joke isn't it. How in the heck is it keeping jobs open instead of saving the guru giants jobs, its Bull. They ain't saving jobs, we're going thru our third lay off in the past three months. Thats where Republic windows issue in Chicago pees me off, it ended up being the bank that recieved the bail out money but had no plans on saving jobs with it by helping keeping a buisness open. Its Bull, no heart > Quote

Super User fishfordollars Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Not surprised. Remember the quote, "We're from the government, and we are here to help you." "Big government means big money going to the ones that need it the least." That's my quote. Now excuse me while I go throw up. Quote
rondef Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Sorry to hear about you getting laid off. Just remember when one door closes another one opens, just hang in there you will find a better job. Quote
Bassboss Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hope things go up for you, good luck on the hunt! Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Sorry to hear about people losing their jobs, was laid off about 3 years ago but in the long run it worked out for me. The one thing to keep in mind is some stays offer money to get schooling/training. Might be something to look at, you can never learn to much.... Quote
daviscw Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Hang in there dude! Things WILL get better. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted December 12, 2008 Super User Posted December 12, 2008 They just let four guys go at our shop, any one of us left can go any day now. BrianinMD is right about some states offering grants for job training after a layoff, thats exactly how I went to school back in '91 after getting laid off from General Electric. Look into it, it's your tax dollars that paid for it. Best of luck to you. Quote
