What's the furthest away form the US any of you have lived?

For me, it is all the way on the other side of the world in the C.N.M.I, on the island of Saipan. (Commonwealth of the Norther Marianas Islands) The reason we moved their is because my dad got a job at the only collage on the island, NMC (Norther Marians Collage). Lived their for 2yrs. The main language was English but the native language "Chamorro" was taught. Very divers island, many different nationalities, Japanese, Chinese, Chamorro, Philippineo, Korean, Palauan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, and than a few Americans. (less 50 Americans). Population of 62,392. Its highest point is a limestone covered mountain called Mount Tapochau at 1,554 ft. Saipan was also one of the islands that was fought at in WWII, and a short boat ride to Tinian, the island were the plane that carried the bomb to Japan took off. The island if also littered with guns, canons, tanks, grenades, bunkers and other WWI relics.

please note: these are not pics I have taken.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, where I lived for the first 4 years of my life. I've been back several times, and although the people are very nice, and the food is sublime, I could never live there. It's too big of a city, too much pollution, and too crowded. The Japanese countryside is really beautiful though.

I've lived in England, Dubai, Iran, Singapore, Norway, and Scotland - all within an eleven year time frame.  In the process, I also traveled to an additional twenty-six other countries.

I've never been to Saipan, but I would like to.  My Dad fought there in WWII.

Never lived there but have been TDY to many places in the Army. Agra, India; Korea; Egypt; Pakistan are the farthest away I have been.

I didn't live there,  but I've been to Jamaica.

I have more pictures of the rainforest and things like that, but I don't have time to post them.

I'll get 'em up later. Jamaica a beauitful country, but the people are wild and insane. ;D

I love how even in a remote part of the world, a big rock off a beach covered in bird crap is called "Bird Rock". Must be millions of them. ;D

And the reason it's white, is not just the color of the stone.  ;)  ;D
