Super User Micro Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 I notice I can no longer "right click" on the site. I tried to edit a post and insert a URL address into a post and could not right click. Am I the only one, or is this a new change to the site? Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 Last night I was gonna play with my avatar and couldn't right click on the link for posting avatar pics either. The favorites button is gone from the bottom of my screen also. Pm'd Glenn, but haven't heard anything. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 i noticed the layout changes but i didn't notice you cant right click. i think this is some kind of bug, because im pretty sure i right clicked last night to post the link to a youtube video. Quote

Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 Funny I was just about to post the same thing.Glad I am not the only one going nuts here Quote
Super User Dan: Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 what do you mean you can't right click? Quote
Super User Micro Posted December 1, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 1, 2008 If I try to highlight something then right-click to copy-and-paste, nothing happens. If I try to copy a URL to a picture on my webspace and try to paste it to a post, I can't do it. I have to type in the whole URL. Maybe that is working for some people. It seems to have been disabled for others. It's just happening on this website. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 I noticed it when I tried to post a link I had copied. I also couldn't post a pic. Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 It's part of the new site layout. We are always trying new things to prevent other sites from stealing our content. We are working on it. Untill then you can use Ctrl-C to copy Ctrl-V to paste Quote
Super User Micro Posted December 1, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 1, 2008 Sweet! Thanks. Quote
Super User flechero Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 It works for me... I guess I haven't angered Glenn lately. ;D Quote

Super User Marty Posted December 2, 2008 Super User Posted December 2, 2008 For the last two days, the right part of the window is cut off and I have to use the horizontal scroll bar, which I don't like to do. And I don't want to change the settings on my monitor to view more but with smaller size. I'm currently using 1024x768 which is fine for almost all other sites that I visit. But my point is that something changed for the worse. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted December 2, 2008 Super User Posted December 2, 2008 Hey I asked Glenn if he was changing things a few days ago, he was so kind to pick on me because of my age ;D and insinuated that I was a bit paranoid Any way, a whole new Home Page and Forum look. I see it this way, I have been here a bit over 2 years and everything this man has done has made this site better, so lets give it a bit until we all get used to it and see how it goes. That should take it until Glenn reaches my age. Quote
Super User Micro Posted December 2, 2008 Author Super User Posted December 2, 2008 Everything's working great, now. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted December 2, 2008 Super User Posted December 2, 2008 A see a weird problem now. On multiple page threads, the current page is displayed but the next page or previous pages aren't. If you mouse over the spot where those page numbers would be the the arrow switches to the hand so you can click and access them but the actual page number is invisible. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted December 2, 2008 Super User Posted December 2, 2008 Cart Click the blue thinging next topage on, it opens up a list of all the page numbers, it will stay that way for all your threads then Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 2, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 2, 2008 Yes, I'm aware of the issue. Folks - please be patient with me. There's a number of issues with the new design. It was working fine in the latest browsers, but I had to "undo" a number of things to accomodate older browsers. I'm now in the process of rebuilding it, so you'll see some weirdness for awhile. Please understand, there's just one of me. I hand-coded the entire site, and still do today. It's an enormous effort for me to fix all the bugs across the entire site at one time - especially since I work full time on top of this. So please be patient and just understand there will be a few bumps in the road for the next few days. Until then, just sit tight and know that I'm working on it. Thanks! Glenn Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted December 2, 2008 Super User Posted December 2, 2008 I have been ofline for the past three to four weeks repairing my home from Ike and I was surprised to see the new layout when I returned. I am sure if everyone will just take a deep breath Glenn and the rest of the crew will have it all worked out for the better. Thanks Glenn for all you do. Quote
