Low_Budget_Hooker Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 People who can't understand the #1 key to consistently catching bass is between your ears not between the folds of your wallet. So,... Lesson #1 is "Lint" has no effect on catching fish? :-/ ;D Quote
noway Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Friends who say lets go fishing. So you kick around some future dates and times and then they can't go. Quote

Super User Micro Posted November 29, 2008 Super User Posted November 29, 2008 Crappie fisherman who who motor right up to the structure you are fishing and sit on it for hours then show off their way-over-the-limit catch at the dock. Quote

Super User grimlin Posted November 29, 2008 Super User Posted November 29, 2008 Littering and over the limit catching gets on my nerves the most. Lack of common curiosity is a high second. I have very little patience when it comes to complete idiots who just doesn't care about anybody else or the law. Quote
Quinn Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I have to say that allot of these annoy me too. Mostly the littering especially when garbage cans are right there. And Tweekers. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted November 29, 2008 Super User Posted November 29, 2008 Nothing to do with fishing but annoying just the same - retailers who start jamming Christmas down your throat before Halloween. Seems to start a tiny bit earlier every year. Same thing goes for radio stations, and some of the people in my neighborhood. Ho Ho Ho. Quote
Jake. Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Mosquitoes Those people who keep everything they catch at a local pond, even 4-5 inch bass, and keep them all in a plastic shopping bag. > Quote
diver_sniper Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 People who can't understand the #1 key to consistently catching bass is between your ears not between the folds of your wallet. People who don't understand consistently catching bass is a process of elimination and duplication. Eliminate patterns and waters that are non-productive and duplicate places and patterns that are productive. Nailed it. Drives me nuts fishing with someone that thinks they should catch more fish than ever just because of their fancy @$$ new Loomis, or whatever it is that they just bought. Also drives me nuts when someone says the fish aren't biting today when the only change they have made all day was switching their t-rig plastic from a worm to a craw. Refusal to accept that a bait isn't working on a given day is the worst, especially if you're in a tournament with someone you don't know too well and don't want to sound like an arse for telling them how they should fish. Those massive wake boarding boats that are designed to make the biggest waves they possibly can. It's even worse when the people on those boats are so confident in themselves and how cool they are, that they will get close to you while you're fishing just so you can see how awesome they are at wake boarding. I just can't even begin to comprehend what it must feel like to be so stupid that a person doesn't think causing a guy in a bass boat to go down to one knee and hold onto his bass chair just to keep from falling in the lake is a problem. Me and some of my buddies have come up with a new rule: If you get so close to my fishing boat that I'm able to cast a crank bait and hook you with it... I'm probably going to try. Quote
njnitrobasser Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 knocking a rod overboard off of the deck of your boat, jumping in to get it,getting it only to realize you have your cell phone in your pocket.Done this a couple of times......... Quote
I.rar Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 bugs. wind. loud people. bugs. the fish that snags your bait then runs under the drop off and spits out the hook only to leave you snagged on a giant rock. litter-ers. loud drunk people. people that think just because they have the biggest boat they could buy they are the king of the marina. people who do donuts and burnouts in the parking lot right behind you because they drive a corvette/mustang/tricked out honda/etc.. there is some more , but im drawing a blank now.. TrippyJai Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 LOL... I guess I should add on to my list: - BUGS inlcuding litter bugs - people who take every fish they catch - waves caused by fast moving boats who don't respect you fishing =P Quote
detroit1 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 You're 50' from the shore and some idiot "pleasure boats" between you and the bank. There is VERY LITTLE common courtesy anymore. And stupid seagulls ruining a topwater bite. And that friggin' cotton that sticks to your line and lure in spring. Lakefront homeowners that blow all of their leaves into the water. Quote
Crumb Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 A lot!! But mostly, wake boarders and rock bass...I don't know how many worms I've lost to them little ^@%$@!$. Quote

Super User Muddy Posted December 1, 2008 Super User Posted December 1, 2008 When newbees or fellas that have been around for a while, are looking for help with non-top of the line gear, and people try to steer them to something els. Usually starts out: I have 50 to 60 bucks for a reel, I have narrowed it down to 2 reels, niehter of them Shimano. Then it starts , well spend 20 bucks more, or Shimano, being the best, BLAH<BLAH<BLAH, just pitiful. It happens a lot here, that is why i stay off those threads. > Quote
