Bassboy15 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Do you guys think the lyons should get the stage on Thanksgiving? I honestly don't, this should always be the best game of the year, not a game that put's everyone to sleep! Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted November 27, 2008 Super User Posted November 27, 2008 If they win one it would be "their" best game of the year. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted November 27, 2008 Super User Posted November 27, 2008 I want to see if any of the fans have their paper bags decorated for the holiday..... Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 27, 2008 Super User Posted November 27, 2008 Well they can't schedule the "best" games of the year a year in advance. Who would have thought the Titans would be 10-1 and the Pats and Colts are fighting for a Wild Card spot? This is why college football is a wonderful thing, always a good game on. Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 27, 2008 Super User Posted November 27, 2008 I want to see if any of the fans have their paper bags decorated for the holiday..... Perhaps the outline of a hand for a turkey like pre-schoolers make. I personally like it when Culpepper jumps around when they score their first touchdown of the game, to make it 28-7 Quote
daviscw Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 I thought it was kinda fun to watch them last week find every single way possible NOT to win. It was seriously like they were trying to pull off a loss. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted November 27, 2008 Super User Posted November 27, 2008 Dontcha' love it when football players beat their chests and pump their fists in the air even when their team is down 28 points ? :-? Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 27, 2008 Super User Posted November 27, 2008 O this is great. I have more respect for Jeff Fischer. Up 47-10, 3:39 to go in the game, challenges a catch made by the Lions. Fans boo him for challenging a call that means nothing, and he waves. ;D Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted November 28, 2008 Super User Posted November 28, 2008 Please trade Calvin Johnson. Please trade Calvin Johnson. That is all. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 28, 2008 Super User Posted November 28, 2008 Not only did the Lions play bad, but those throwback uniforms are horrible. Just keep the good old Lions uniforms. At least they look nice. Quote
daviscw Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Not only did the Lions play bad, but those throwback uniforms are horrible. Just keep the good old Lions uniforms. At least they look nice. At first I thought the numbers on the jerseys were made out of duct tape. If you are going to play like crap, at least don't look like it. Geez... Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 28, 2008 Super User Posted November 28, 2008 Please trade Calvin Johnson. Please trade Calvin Johnson. That is all. This is one of the first games I have ever seen him play and he looks "Moss-like" in the sense that if you throw it up, he will come down with it. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted November 28, 2008 Super User Posted November 28, 2008 You guys only have to watch them on Thanksgiving, this is what us football fans in Detroit have to watch all season. It's like a bad joke. Hey bilgerat64, a couple weeks ago a few guys were wearing bags over their heads like the old Aints, and security escorted them out of the stadium. Falcon Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted November 28, 2008 Super User Posted November 28, 2008 That IS a joke. They should be thankful to have ANY fans at all - bags or no bags. My wife likes the Lions, has since the Barry Sanders era. It's fun to jab at her, she's cool with it. She has her revenge when my Vikings get smoked. Quote
detroit1 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I know my Lions suck. Everyone knows. Do we have to forfeit all traditions these days? Would you rather see the lions on sunday or monday night? I think not. I used to have a lot of respect for Jeff Fisher, but challenging a call with under 4 min. to go (while being ahead by nearly 40 pts.) is crap, and i would punch him in the mouth if i had the chance. Everyone wanted the game to end. The Titans will lose it's first playoff game. Meanwhile, there is no pressure on the lions- it's all on their opponents now. (you don't want to be the only team to lose to the lions). Ha Ha vikings- it will be you. Sorry. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted November 29, 2008 Super User Posted November 29, 2008 we'll see about that Quote
DewittBassmaster Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 haha I live in Lansing and can't even watch the lions when they are playing in Detroit because they get blacked out every week. Quote
