detroit1 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Playoffs? Playoffs? We'd be lucky to win a game! My name is Mark and i am a Lions fan. ( :-/) Quote
bmadd Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 True fivesixone. I was thinking about it as our week 17 I guess. Quote
atx_newbie Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I'm glad to see the Titans doing well and bringing some diversity to the AFC. It always got boring watching the regular season, knowing that two of either Patriots, Colts, or Chargers would be playing in the AFC championship every year. That being said, let's go cowboys ;D Quote
SuskyDude Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Hate to say I told ya so! The Jets are too hot right now. Titans got thumped. Which might be a good thing in the long run. It'll take the pressure off of them and bring them back down to earth. Quote
bmadd Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Credit to the Jets. Our defense played great ball and made big plays when needed. What did I tell you about turnovers. Finnegan had is IT but couldn't do anything with it. The Titans Offense just slouched today. Too many dropped balls. Hardly any first downs. Not taking anything away from them though. They are a well rounded team and are on fire right now. Quote
FordNFishinLover Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Credit to the jets?!?! Come on man you should say more for our jets like that! GO FARVE! Knocked out the 10-0 TITANS. The funny thing is that not only did we beat you but we went ahead and ripped your necks off basically lol. Yall got a great team, but you just couldnt get it together! Good game! Now how bout them packers tomarrow?!!? Quote
bmadd Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 If you're gonna give due credit to the Jets then it needs to go to their defense no Farve. Sure their offense was great but our Defense made big plays and handed it over to the offense and they just couldn't capitalize. The Jets D controlled Kerry Collins and the rest of the Titans offense. I they kept the Titans D from ever getting a break and that allowed the Jets O to wear down our D that looked at time like the Titans defense from the beginning of the year. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 24, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 24, 2008 Titans took a beating yesterday, but they are still the team to beat. Actually, not taking an unbeaten season into the playoffs is probably a good thing. We still have some great match-ups left in the regular season. Yep, it's fun riding on this bandwagon! 8-) Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 24, 2008 Super User Posted November 24, 2008 Too bad, I wanted to see some team do it just to shut up Mercury Morris.... Quote
Joe Boss Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Yay Jets!! Good game, it would have been a lot closer without all those dropped passes. Titans are a good team, Jets were better yesterday. I predict they will meet again in the post season. Quote
Fisher of Men Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Top four teams in the AFC: (in no particular order) Jets, Titans, Steelers, and Patriots. If Indy can get a consistant game, they'd be there, too. No matter who, it's going to continue to be exciting. Quote
Zel Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I'm a Jets fan since the early days of Joe Willie. Don't want to jinx things but GREAT GAME! Now if only they don't find a way to screw things up. Here is a real good read about Jets fans. Funny, it actually felt like the author wrote the piece about me LOL. It's called For Jets Fans, Every Silver Lining Has A Cloud http://www.realclearsports.com/articles/2008/11/for_jets_fans_every_silver_lin.html Quote

Yep, it's fun riding on this bandwagon! 8-) Still the team to beat? Did you bump your head when you jumped on the wagon RW? I can make a case that the Titans were never the team to beat, but I'll let you have your fun! No, the team to beat right now leads the league in scoring and has the best rushing game. The team to beat has had a offense and a defense ranked in the top five all season. The team to beat has one of the pass rushs in the leauge. The team to beat has just defeated five (count em') teams with winning records in a row. They're 10-1, and they're the defending SuperBowl Champs: My NY "Football" Giants! Now the Jints have the toughest remaining schedule in the league, so there is a long road ahead of us. But you need to remember that this is by and large the SAME team that won it all last year, and they're hungry! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 25, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 25, 2008 The Giant's are simply amazing. Their road to last year's Super Bowl ranks right up there with the Joe Willie beating the Colts, highly improbable. So, I agree and stand corrected, the Giants are the team to beat. Quote

You got to give them recognition, although I would guess the Giants don't want it. They are very happy flying below the radar and being considered the underdog. And like I said, there is a very tough road ahead of them. I can't even say that they're a shoe-in for the playoffs when they've still got three divisional games to play in a row: 1. at Washington: gonna be a tough game. 2. Philly at home: trap game 3. at Dallas: TO and Romo are getting warmed up. Throw in games against a good Carolina team and a scrappy Minn. Vikings, and you've got a tough gauntlet to run. But the Giants have the tools to do it, and they're hungry.... 8-) Quote
bmadd Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Susky-to be fair. I've had the Giants picked to be in the Super Bowl since the beginning. Against the Titans of course though However unless the Titans can get back to being a complete team where the offense and defense play at their best on the same Sunday then they might not make it.
