Super User roadwarrior Posted November 5, 2008 Super User Posted November 5, 2008 CMA November 12: http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/0,4644,5576,00.html I'm rooting for a sweep by Jennifer Nettles for "Stay". She sang this song at the Awards last year for the first time and brought the house down, I'm talkin' "knocked it out of the park!" It has become one of my All Time Favorites. ;D ;D Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 5, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 5, 2008 Yeah, I can go for her, too. I think Carrie Underwood is THE most beautiful celebrity. http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/0,4644,5576,00.html#9_0 8-) Quote
George Welcome Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Top song, top performer. Jennifer is here to stay! Carrie: been rooting for that gal since her first audition on American Idol, and she certainly has proven how good she is. Quote
atx_newbie Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Jennifer certainly can belt out a song like no one else, at least not recently. And Carrie certainly raised the bar for all other Idols. No other Idol has done what she has. Not even Kelly Clarkson, and KC had a 3 or 4 year head-start! Quote
daviscw Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I've seen Sugarland twice and Taylor Swift once. Sugarland is amazing! I also agree that Carrie Underwood is THE most beautiful celeb out there. Quote
Olebiker Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I can't watch that "Stay" video without tearing up. That must have been a difficult one to shoot. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 12, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 12, 2008 Tonight is the night! ;D ;D ;D Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 George Straight just took an award. Not many people can measure up to George. Billy Ray Cyrus is up next. I think I'll change channels for a while. Can't stand that guy. Especially since he dogged Travis Tritt on national t.v years ago. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Good God all mighty!!!! Kelli Pickler was S M O K I N hot in that black leather outfit. Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 mmm. Carrie.... and Sara Evans at the same time..... Carrie would man handle you Tin... Atleast I would die happy... Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Song of the Year STAY by Sugarland! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Jennifer is nice but I think Martina Mcbride blows her away. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Well now, if we're talkin' hot, I'd go with Carrie or Miranda Lambert. As an older fart, Dolly, Reba and Faith are "hot', but Terri Clark is my fantasy! 8-) Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Crap! Rascal Farts just won for best vocal group. Why their music is classified as country is beyond me. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Crap! Rascal Farts just won for best vocal group. Why their music is classified as country is beyond me. Well, I agree, but here's the upside: My daughter and a lot of her friends (19-20 something) are into C&W because of Rascal Flats. These guys helped get them there and now they like other "true country" artists. Ou! Now we have Kid Rock and his nasty "All Summer Long". He's not country either, but this song rocks! 8-) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 13, 2008 WOO-HOO! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 I can't stand Rascal Flats. They sound like a whining little ***. Kid Rock on the other hand is more like southern rock, IMO. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted November 13, 2008 The new "Queen of Country", Carrie Underwood? Man, she just brought the house down! Female Vocalist Of The Year! 8-) Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Any man who could listen to Carrie sing that song without getting a lump in his throat is made of stone. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted November 13, 2008 Super User Posted November 13, 2008 Did you see Shania Twain? My goodness, are those real? Quote
