Low_Budget_Hooker Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 A woman on the news was just reporting on the election,....she said,...."will it be a tight race tonight?.....either way, no matter who wins,..history will be made..." Um,.......DUH!!!!! : : I was waiting for George Carlin to come on as the weather guy and say,..."tonight,....darkness" ;D Quote

KevO Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Yup saw that too... Only a couple more hrs until history is made. It always amazes me the people they put on T.V. Especially here in TN, any time there is a major news story the reporters find the most redneck backwood S.O.B. with no teeth. All they say is umm and uh. It just makes me mad, but it also makes me laugh. Quote
BucketmouthAngler13 Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 yeah it seems the most used saying in newcasting is "as we said before..." Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted November 5, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted November 5, 2008 Well, coming from a TV news background, I can't even begin to recite the dozens of dumb comments I witnessed go across the airwaves. Made me really embarrassed to be a part of it. One of the many reasons I quit. Bottom line - NEVER let the on-air talent ad-lib! NEVER! : Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Ok I'll play devils advocate. Could she have meant uniquely significant history? IE the first black president or the first woman to be part of the oval office? I know it still wasn't like we hadn't heard it 10,00 times recently but???? Quote
atx_newbie Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 John Madden takes the cake. "Here's a guy, that when he runs, he goes faster! Boom, tough actin' Tinactin" Quote
