BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted October 24, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted October 24, 2008 Not a horrible band but "Pour Some Sugar on Me" is the stupid song that gets stuck in my head. PS it was 87* today and I had to mow the grass...and I talked to warmer today to decide which tourneys we were going to fish in January Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Not really a band, but my most "shameful" liking: George Michal - Faith (hey so did Limp Bizkit!!) Cheesy song by crappy band: Heart and Soul by T'Pau Yes, I know, pretty bad. I think why I like this one though is that a bunch of us were in Myrtle Beach years ago when this song was popular. We walked by this place that would let you come in and film videos - they would dress you up, props, etc. then play a song while you lip sync'd and they recorded. Anyway, there was this little girl, maybe 7 or 8 doing this song and SHE WAS NAILING IT! She had it down, words, attitude playing to the camera - everything. Looking back its kinda creepy now that I think about it, but, at the time was very cool to watch. Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 The piano theme song from the Charlie Brown cartoons Vince Giraldi's Linus and Lucy is the best. Get the CD to hear extended versions. Fantastic. I never thought in a million years I'd ever hear anyone agree with me on this! lol If you like that you might like music by George Winston. His albums December and autum were particularly good. I love "the holly and the ivy " by him as well. I still want to see him in concert one day. Bass boss your post makes no sense! I like the song Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 " Someone mentioned The Little Mermaid. "Kiss the Girl" is a great song from that movie. Ole-B that is a good song. Disney had about 4 or 5 movies in a row with great main songs. Beauty and the Beast, Mermaid, Aladdin and poss others. Their were 2 guys who colaborated together coming up with the songs. One of them died after about the 4th good one. I don't think the songs have been quite as good since ( or my kids got older and I don't hear as many). Talent goes a long way and really shows in some cases. Sure the singers had to dotheir thing but those guys came up with several good ones spread out amongst different singers. Quote
