Super User Muddy Posted October 25, 2008 Super User Posted October 25, 2008 Hey Fellas: Winter is just around the corner, Baseball Season is down to final week, leaving me no sports to watch, I am not a football fan. College basketball is my other love, and my team St.Johns will probally not even break the top ten in the Big East. U.Conn. picked by the coaches as the favorite , they picked St.Johns for 14! The Chistmas crap has been up since the day after the Fourth of July this year, I guess they will soon leave it up all year round in the stores! Time to send my reels to Pflueger for a good breakdown and cleaning.Catch up on some bills and wait for the freaking snow to come and cover these mountains and the hard water to cover my favorite spots. I hate winter > Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 You need to switch cups. You grabbed the 1/2 empty one, you need the 1/2 full one! Think of cuddling w/ Elaine on a stormy, snowy night. The excitement and rebirth of "spring" Etc. Like Redline would say,......"mantenga positivo mi amigo" (Keep it positive my friend) Quote

=Matt 5.0= Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 I hate winter > I'm with ya bud. I had a t-shirt made a few years ago that just said "winter sucks" on the front. Can't wait to move out of this region one day for good. Quote
ring fry Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 I hate winter Me too. The winter is interminable. :'( There are two things I like about winter. One is college basketball, although we lost 87% of our scoring from last year, it'll be a fun year. The other thing I like is being able to make several fishing trips to Texas. 8-) Quote
pokey Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Ya know, I just picked up ice fishing last season as a way to pass the winter time. Let me tell ya, it is actually quite fun. Not the same as being in a boat and casting, but get a small group of guys, toss a football around have a few "pops" and life is good Quote

brgbassmaster Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Ya its still 70-75 here in new mexico but the fishing is horrible. I cant seem to find the fish here in the fall. In michigan it was easy. here very hard fishing in the fall. but cant complain since it doesnt snow here and i can fish all yr long. But the water does get into the 40s. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 27, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 27, 2008 Winter is a very, very busy time of year. Time to fix everything on the boat that needs fixin'. (For me, that means replacing the batteries and tightening down all the bolts, nuts, and screws on the boat.) Cleaning/repairing all the gear. Reorganizing all the tackle. Taking the boat in for it's annual tune up. Doing the "spring cleaning" around the house (since we'll be fishing in the spring). Do all the little projects I've been putting off. And of course, doing a plethora of updates on the site! Note to boat owners: get up under the console and tighten down all the little nuts and screws you find. You'll be amazed at how many have backed off, or are missing. Better to fix it now than have a gauge pop off as you're running down the lake. Quote
