Super User J Francho Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Fluids (not beer) and rest. Quote
bassdocktor Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 For the sore throat you could gargle with some salt water. You could always try some Vitamin C although a few of my classes lately suggest it really does nothing for colds. bassdocktor Quote
ptomacbass Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 rest and drink a lot of water. and just incase have an orange. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Try to eliminate unnecessary finger movement. That was good Really I always chug as much premium orange juice as I can stomach. Also drink hot tea with honey and lemon and a splash of beam or jack don't hurt neither. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Whiskey and honey...Throw the honey out the window and chug the whiskey. The hangover will make you forget the rest. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Gargle hot water mixed with baking soda and salt to get rid of the sore throat. I've had a light cold for about a week now. Quote

Super User Hookemdown. Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Peppermint Schnapps also can cure a sore throat. Quote
Big Tom Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 For me, rest and water seems to do the trick most times. Quote
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Lots of water. Minimum of 200 acres, sit in the middle of it and cast alot, you'll feel better. Quote

basser89 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Sleep (like 8 to 10 hours a night) Eat more Drink plenty of OJ and/or take vitamin C tablets Fresh air (I like LBH's tip!) A trick I use for sore throats is drinking extremely hot (I'm talkin McD's lawsuit hot) tea. It's scald any germ that might be lurking and will loosen up any flem that's back there too! Obviously, you're not going to be able to drink it right down, but take sips as big as you can. This works for me Hope this helps Purple drawers Jimzee??? TMI! LOL! Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Drink lots of fruit juices. The real stuff, not kool-aid. The acid in them will cut the stuff out of your throat. Keep warm, when you get cold your body will work to keep warm and not fight the cold. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 2, 2008 Super User Posted October 2, 2008 Stay away from the rest of us until you are better. Quote
Joe Boss Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 For a sore throat, gargle with Listerine then drink some hot tea. After you finish the tea gargle with Listerine again. Oh and none of that minty listerine you need the original orange death flavored stuff. Quote
