Heroes Premiere SUCKED last night! Minor spoiler alert

Wow was I ever dissapointed last night. Last two seasons, I was glued to the screen and never left the room. Last night I was "watching" from the kitchen part of the time.

It seemed to me that the show was trying to shove 20 plotlines down our throats instead of focusing on one or two.

It seemed that they wanted to "change things up" so much that they made the good guys that we were routing on to bad guys.

And although its Sci-Fi and there is an element of extraordinary, the show always had a touch of "what if it were possible" realism to it. Yesterday Mohinder talked to a girl, found the cause of the mutism, created a shot to give him powers, and gave himself the shot all in 5 minutes??? What kind of garbage is that?

Well I just wanted to see if anyone else was dissapointed or did most people like it.

Wow, I couldn't disagree more. I thought it was amazing!!

I knew in the first 2 minutes that I was going to be disapointed.

Opening scene:

Peter is running away from the bad guys trying to catch him.... RUNNING!! Umm... Cant he fly?? Ok well maybe he lost his powers?

So he runs into Claire and she wants to shoot him... Peter, he can regenerate, why are you aiming a gun?? So I think again that maybe he looses his powers or something but NO he flys back into time and has all his powers. Wow.

Now I am not one to nitpick over little things like this because I may be overthinking things. But it happened throughout the episode to the point where I actually was insulted.

It turned the show from something smart and new, where you actually cared about the characters, to nothing but eye-candy.

I'm in the middle, slightly disappointed but TV pretty much ends up disappointing all the times so I don't get my hopes up.   Last season was so long ago too that I found myself trying to remember what the heck was goign on.  We'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

However, that first part was totally stupid, flying, all powerful guy who can stop time, time travel and regenerate running away from teenage girl with gun.

But, "Claire is special".  I don't know how but they kept teasing that.  I thought it was pretty good.

Heck even in 24 things don't happen in real time.   Never been there but I doubt he would make it from one end of LA to the other in 10 minutes, and who the he!! has a cell phone with a battery that never needs charged.

Present time Peter sucks big time.  He has tons of powers that he doesn't really know how to use effectively so instead he bumbles around.  It's part of the story.  If he could use all of his powers effectively then the entire show would be over in about 10 seconds because Peter would just freeze time and then get rid of all of the bad guys.  For the show to continue the "Present Time Peter" has to be an idiot in regards to his powers.

Also, for those that say it doesn't matter if he gets shot or not that is technically true, but he still feels the pain of being shot.  Can't say that I'd willingly sign up for that one if I could get out of it.

Hero's is the best show on tv.

Well, Mohinder already knew most everything about the mutations.  He only needed to find the trigger and Maya's anger led him to that cause.  He left and then the next scene is him developing the shot.  How much time passed between scenes?  Could have been a while.  Plus, he already had developed his "vaccine" so he pretty much had the shot all worked out already.  Then when Maya found out that he made the shot she almost talked him out of it.  He didn't give himself the shot until the next scene which was at night and not during the day when he created the shot.

Seems pretty "logical" to me.
