Peyton Manning? maybe if you were asking for the best crying

I guess you missed where it says "YOUR FAVORITE" in the title. I think he has started every regular season game in his career(162 games). How is he a crybaby?

Bart Starr - I just think that's about as cool a name as you could have.

Yes, and he may not be able to play again.

He is one of the "Great Ones".

Troy Aikman never complained and played hurt stats did not matter to him- played and started on a team that went 1-15 then went on to win 3 super bowls in 4 years.  Great accuracy and game management- If I could pick one out of any era to start for my team he would be it at quarterback.

Peyton is a great QB. He isn't a speedster, iron man, or tough guy...but he's a fairly decent QB.

So did you.

You're confusing me, do you like Peyton or not?  It's hard not to like a tactical genius like Mr. Manning.

Peyton Manning. He never misses a game, manages a game like no other, and he went to the University of Tennessee.

RW how on earth could you go and say something bad about the MAN? :-/

Marino played during the "Elway Era".

Most noteworthy stats:

Super Bowl Wins: -0-

Career Yards Rushing: 3

Marino played an extra year just to surpass records set by John Elway.

His accomplishments are squewd as a "one man team" dedicated to

the pass only. Elway, on the other hand, was a true leader, all around

athelete and team player.

8-)

Since you asked for favorite and not best, I'll say Kurt Warner.

The guys was bagging groceries one year...winning the Super Bowl the next! And he played for my team!

To this day, there's nobody I root for harder than Kurt!!!

Bagging groceries?  I haven't heard that story.  Kurt was a quarterback in high school, played QB in college (at Norther Illinois), then immediately after college he played arena football (when he didn't get drafted), and then played in Europe's pro football league before finally getting drafted as a free agent.  I had to pull up wikipedia...after reading your post I thought he was some guy who worked at a grocery store and played football on weekends with his buddies before he was 'discovered'.  That would have been a better story I guess.  He still a great QB...

talent = Montana ( but a jerk )

Bradshaw = Superbowl rings

Ken Stabler to execute a drive

Bob Giese = gifted quarterback

For entertainment = Jim Mc Mahon ( def not for talent )

Len Dawson

Daryl Lamonica

Staubauch

Elway

Brady - best ever and a sixth round pick.  3 Super Bowl rings and played only one year with decent talent at wide reciever - and broke every passing record there was.

Regarding Marino, he went downhill faster than anyone ever seemed to point out. He was pretty awful for the last 3 or 4 years, and was closer to average for a good point of his career. That being said, he had a run when he was absolutely incredible. He always seemed to be yelling at his teammates too, not in a good way either. He'd fire a 100 mph screen pass at a no hands fullback 5 yards away and then chew him out when he couldn't make the catch.

Here's the Kurt Warner grocery story from the Wikipedia entry on Hy-Vee...it wasn't the next year, but it's still a neat story.

"Two-time National Football League MVP Kurt Warner once stocked shelves at a Hy-Vee store in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After being cut by the Green Bay Packers at age 24, he thought his football career might be over and worked there to cover bills."
