zellamander Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 The quarterback doesn't have to be playing still. As long as he was a quarterback. Mine is going to have to be Michael Vick. To bad he got caught up in all the wrong stuff, looks like just prison yard ball from here on out. :'( :'( Quote
fishbear Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I am old school on Quarterbacks Bradshaw Jaworski Stabler Gabriel Quote

Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 16, 2008 Super User Posted September 16, 2008 Bradshaw , Staubach , Marino , Elway, Montana. Don't have one but I liked to watch these guys when they played. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted September 16, 2008 Super User Posted September 16, 2008 Jason White... too bad he had knees made of glass. :'( Quote
frogtog Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I would have to say Roger Staubach, he new how to win a game and second would be Dan Marino, the best ever quarterback without a team. Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 With 5 minutes left on the clock Joe Montana Deep ball threat Dan Marino Game management Roger Staubach Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 John Elway I hold a lot of others in high regard, including most that have already been mentioned, but Dan Marino was a wimp! 8-) Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Peyton Manning Quote
Super User Micro Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Bradshaw and Montana. Consumate sportmen. Quote
mjhutch1116 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I would have to say Bradshaw, then Montana, followed closely by Elway Peyton Manning? maybe if you were asking for the best crying quarterback ever :'( :'( ;D ;D ;D ;D Matt Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Terry Bradshaw and John Elway Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Peyton is a great QB. He isn't a speedster, iron man, or tough guy...but he's a fairly decent QB. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Peyton Manning? maybe if you were asking for the best crying quarterback ever :'( :'( ;D ;D ;D ;D Matt You just invalidated any opinion you hold about any subject. Quote

Super User burleytog Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 And to complete the trifecta and provide my answer. It would be a tie between Dan Marino, Don Strock and Tony Eason. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Roger Staubach is my all time favorite. Go Navy!! Big fan of Fran Tarkenton, was great to watch scramble. John Elway could scramble with the best. Joe Montana, enough said!!! Quote
RiskKid. Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 No mention of Namath, Unitas or Starr??? My favorite was Namath and I like Bradshaw for his sense of humor but if I could pick one in his prime for my team....Montana hands down Quote
Super User South FLA Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 I grew up watching Dan Marino play in the Orange Bowl and Joe Robby Stadium, so I am biased, but the guy had no wheels, the defense knew he was slinging it on every down and they still couldn't stop him. Too bad he had no defense, no star running back, or a hall of fame receiver as a supporting team member, maybe he could have won a Super Bowl or 2....or 3. Joe Montana was a good quarterback on a GREAT TEAM, even he acknowledges the fact that Dan was the MAN! Too bad Brady will eclipse everyone!! Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted September 17, 2008 Super User Posted September 17, 2008 Retired: Dan Marino Present: Tom Brady Falcon Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Since you asked for favorite and not best, I'll say Kurt Warner. The guys was bagging groceries one year...winning the Super Bowl the next! And he played for my team! To this day, there's nobody I root for harder than Kurt!!! Quote
