I visited the ATV trails in West Virginia for the 1st time this past weedend. It was the Hatfield McCoy Trail system. On the website for the place we were staying, it had pictures of groups and individuals from all over the country. Have any of you been there?

In a period of about 10 minutes you could be hot and sweaty, or wet, or muddy, or dusty, or comfortable temps.

I've seen pictures and it looks great out there. Stories if rides out there are as impressive too. Maybe someday. Unfortunatley, there aren't any trails that are less than a few hours away from Chicago or where I go in Michigan.

On a related topic....does anyone know if there is anywhere in Indiana to ride dunes? I thought you used to be able to but it doesn't seem like you can anymore.

mobydick, I have a Honda TRX300. I got it for deer hunting and its the first time I have done extensive trail riding. We rode a total of about 130 miles in a day and 1/2.  Most of the ATVs in my group were 4WD. A couple had trail bikes, and one rented a Rhino to carry his young daughter. Some of the towns in the area allow those vehicles on the streets and highways. We rode 1 1/2 miles down the highway to get to the beginning of the trail system from the place we stayed.
