senko_77 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I just drove a stick for the first time a few weeks ago. My g/f drives one like a champ, so she was teaching me in her jeep. It was so dam frustrating at first, but I got the hang of it. I think I put like 40k on that transmission in the 1st hour of driving it ;D That's just sad... HAHA! I kinda figured I would catch some crap from you on this one Quote
fivesixone Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Most vehicles are strapped to the dyno.... :-? Yeah... Why was your car not secured?? :-? ;D Quote
Floridabassking352 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Driving a stick shift is awesome! It's way more fun than an automatic. I had a VERY rough time learning to drive though, and pretty sure I gave my dad whiplash in the process ;D. I drive a 2007 Scion tC (btw, this isn't the best car to learn on because it has an incredibly sensitive clutch) and have had it a year, so I'm still fairly new to driving a stick I suppose. I don't stall anymore but I grind the gears occasionally. Quote
Jake P Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 Most vehicles are strapped to the dyno.... :-? Yeah... Why was your car not secured?? :-? ;D I knew this would come from somebody LOL. Because if you take off correctly the Dyno wheels will turn with the vehicle wheels at a steady pace. I didnt think that would happen :-[. If im doing an actual inspection I always chock the wheels and strap it down and put in the sway bars. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I have a stick shift and would have it no other way. I know that they say an automatic is much better because of traffic in all but I would not trade my stick shift for anything in the world and I usually have this argument with my husband when we are getting a new car. ( I win ) Quote
