This most certainly was a cheap shot.  Watch the entire play not just the last couple of seconds.  Pollard came across the line and Sammy Morris knocked him to the ground.  Pollard then gave a second effort and lunged at Tom's lower leg, below the knee.  If that is not a cheap shot I don't know what is.  This is the same kind of play that Roger Goodell fined Vince Wilfork for last year when the Patriots played the Bills.

Cheap shot?

Brady still has the ball, the whistle hasn't blown.  You go till the whistle blows.

Just because you get knocked down with a block doesn't mean the play has ended for you. These guys play 'til they hear a whistle. Obviously Pollard saw that Brady was getting ready to step up to throw so he hit and grabbed what he could to 'help' Brady make a bad pass.....all the while, Sammy Morris looked like a backpack on Pollard. I'm positive that Pollard would've liked to have hit Brady higher and harder.

The circumstances around Brady's injury were almost identical to Carson Palmer's injury a few years ago. It's a contact sport, stuff happens.

I'm not a Pats fan by any means but the MVP taking an injury like that is huge for the entire game of football. I see it as very unfortunate. But not cheap.

     Thats the guy, the "king".

As for the cheap shot, Brady stepped into it!

I played defence the whole time growing up until I had my knee wasted in 1983 during a high school football game. It was the result of clipping to prevent a sack. Do I call it a cheap shot. Nope, I manned up and called it the game.........

The cheap shot last year was a thrown elbow at the knee, Cheap as they come.

Not one angle reveals a cheap shot.

Ya'll got to go further back to find one of the dirtiest player ever of the game.

     They called him the "Assain"

Rodney Harrison is a SAINT compared to the other player.

I know Harrison has been physical, and thats the mental aspect of coming across the middle on a safeties turf.

They want you to know your gonna get slammed. So next time you gator grasp at the ball.

I have never known great safeties to be anything but mean.

I agree with the logic of being a good, hard hitting safety but Harrison has been fined and suspended in the past for some of his actions. A player usually doesn't get fined for a 'clean' hit.

So has Roy Williams and alot of other safties.    Roy gets the horse collar penalty called on him and  gets fined.

Pro football has been around for years.     How many injuries have come from Horse collar tackles?      It took decades for that rule to come into play.    TO was one of the first players injuried I can think of.

But thats not dirty or cheap.     yeah, Rodney is physical as they come.   But compared to the 60's and 70's, thats just tough play, now days, its dirty.

You can't be respected if you don't leave your mark.

Wilfork was getting tackled from behind last year, not as bad as the hit on Brady.  That being said, are they supposed to sit there and let him throw?  Neither of the hits to me were a cheap shot, but Wilforks was less of a cheap shot but he got fined because he was a Patriot.  The league plays favorites.

Farve is overrated.  Wings way too many bad throws and makes poor decisions.  He could get away with it as a young guy but age has caught up with him.  He's made some of the worst throws I've seen in my life over the last few years.  Unbelievable talent, but as a game manager he is nowhere near a Manning, Brady or Montana and with age catching up to him - I'm not sold he's any better than what Buffalo or the Dolphins have.  Pats could sign Culpepper and end up still with the best QB in the division.   Amazing that guy doesn't have a job, he had one of the 3 best seasons ever, at least statistically,  by a QB only a few years ago and he's still relatively young.

Favre had bad running game for a few of those years which made him force the ball sometimes. Notice the running game last year and the year he had. Favre lived through the Running Backs and injuries to all of them.

The Gunslinger attitude is the auora of his pesona.

Thats what made Favre, Favre.

To the New England fans. Whos been Cassel's mentor the past few years. Tom Brady. Not a bad guy to push you in practice. Brady didn't get alot of snaps at Michigan. You guys will be fine. You miss game time experience, but have a veteran team aro him. He's got 4 easy games to adjust to the speed of the game before some tougher foes appear.

Good luck, I think he's gonna surprise a few.

Favre had great running games, Ahman Green, Dorsey Levens, even Edgar Bennet was servicable in his early days.

He's had 2 playoff games with a QB rating over 70 this decade, none over 80, 4 games under 60.

His good year last year was related to his receivers turning many short dump offs into long plays.  Green Bay led the league in YAC last year.

For those that still have a bad taste in their mouths from the Pats last year, go buy one of these tshirts.

Dude, you friggin' rule. (I'm a Steelers fan, those shirts on that site are badass!) Think I might order that Pollard one haha!

Brady hurt = anyone's Superbowl. Let's go Steel!

(I'm also a Dolphins fan) :'(
