Bassboy15 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Tom Brady just got hit by pollard... Went into the tunnel, hit looked pretty bad... Quote
Troutfisher Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I hope his injuries are not painful but I hope he's out for the season. Quote

Still a Bigbuckifan Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 With out Brady they would not win 8 games . To me it would be more like 6 Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 7, 2008 Super User Posted September 7, 2008 Cassel is not a bad backup. This will make them re-commit to the running game which should help them down the road. They got away from the running game last year and it showed in the Super Bowl loss. Quote
Still a Bigbuckifan Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Cassel is good but how many reps do you think he gets with the first team. (not many) but i forgot that brady has been injured this off seasion so maybe he got more reps than i think . Quote
zellamander Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I can't stand NE but Cassel was leading them very nice today. I was impressed with his pass completion odds, not to mention the big play pass from the 1/2 yard line. I'm all for the chiefs and believe they have a growing team, (with 32 people on the roster under 25 years old) but I'll give Cassel his credit. The hit on Brady looked as though he probably just hyper-extended his knee, painful, but heels fairly quick, I would imagine he'll be back for the next game. Quote
CRFisher Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Pats can win without Brady, Brady throwing to guys like Patten and David Givens in the Super Bowl years isn't much different than Cassell throwing to Randy Moss and Wes Welker. What they really need is someone to step up on D, Seymour and Adalius Thomas need to really earn their salary this year to make up for the secondary. Secondary is weak, but they won a Superbowl with Troy Brown at corner so if they have a pass rush they will be fine. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted September 8, 2008 Super User Posted September 8, 2008 Bet ol' Lemonface shoots him full of painkillers, gets a couple of W's then sends him to Detroit for 5 draft picks and a Pinto. Quote
CRFisher Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 They'd get more than that from Matt Millen. So is that a "The Day the Earth Stood Still" quote or an "Army of Darkness" quote? Quote
Jake P Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 With out Brady they would not win 8 games . To me it would be more like 6 Are you kidding? Cassel isnt a bad backup and they still have Lawrence Maroney and the run game. Still have Randy Moss and Wes Welker and still have Ben Watson just to name a few. Without Brady I will give them 9-7. Super User Sam Posted September 8, 2008 Super User Posted September 8, 2008 Bassboy15, you watch football? I bet Dave plays football. Quote
rondef Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Watch Dante Culpepper come out of retirement this week and sign with the Patriots. You heard it hear first!!!! Matt Cassel's QB rating today was 116, that is incredible for a starter never mind a backup. Quote

Super User burleytog Posted September 8, 2008 Super User Posted September 8, 2008 Muddy could have a QB rating of 116 against the KC Chumps. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 8, 2008 Super User Posted September 8, 2008 They have the easiest schedule in the league. Their opponents have a winning percentage from last year of .387 Pats have over come many things. Just another speed bump. Hope Brady isn't seriously hurt. Quote
Bassboy15 Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 Muddy could have a QB rating of 116 against the KC Chumps. Not chumps....just uh.....terrible.... Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 8, 2008 Super User Posted September 8, 2008 Muddy could have a QB rating of 116 against the KC Chumps. KC needs a coach. Edwards was not and will not be the answer for the Chefs. GO RAIDERS!!! Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 8, 2008 Super User Posted September 8, 2008 Hey FiveBassLimit, Drag the highest paid NFL coaches' salary plus one dollar through a trailer park and you can have Nick Saban when he jumps on it to be the Chief's next coach. ;D Quote
Bassboy15 Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 Herman Edwards is just an awful coach... He is a believer in the Run Run Pass Punt Offence Quote
flippin4it. Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I'm a Chiefs fan win or lose........Today was a part victory and part loss. If you know what I mean. Quote

I hope the Chefs keep Edwards for a long time though. The Raiders need all the division help they can get. Edwards is actually on our side. Quote
preach4bass Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I'm a Chiefs fan win or lose........Today was a part victory and part loss. If you know what I mean. That's when you know your team is pathetic. You lose a game with the other team's BACK-UP QB on the field, and you still consider it a partial victory. ;D Oh well, enjoy the "victory." Quote
