GitRDoneIke23 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Ok, so my mom's birthday is coming up in 2 days, and I have NO CLUE what to get her!! I'm looking for suggestions. Something in the $50-$60 range. Thank's ya'll -Ike Quote
zellamander Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Flowers and a card go along way. Thats what I usually do. If she works, have them sent to her work place. That usually gets a big smile. Quote
rondef Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 A gift certificate to a spa where she can be treated like a queen. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I am with rondef on this one. A gift certificate is a good thing. Personally I would prefer one to bass pro but not all moms would like this. ;D Another idea would be to give her a 50 dollar gift certificate to one of her favorite restaurants. Then she does not even have to cook on her birthday. Quote

The good thing about this is when your mom receives the flowers and card in front of her co workers (mostly women co workers) will tell her how thoughtful her child is and it will make her twice as happy, trust me. Plus if shes having a bad work day this would for sure cheer her up . Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 Set the video recorder up and then tell her she's going to be a grandma. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 A gift certificate to a spa where she can be treated like a queen. x2 Quote
Super User Muddy Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 No matter what you get your Mom, she will love it, because you took the time out to let her know you love her on her birthday. I think it is more personal to actually get something other than a gift certificate, but then again a mom answered you and said she would like such a gift. Quote
frogtog Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Go with the flowers, they work for all occasions every time and woman love them or you could seen the flowers and the gift certificate. Quote
avid Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Gift certificates sound good, but they lack a personal touch. Spa? nice thought but 50 bucks doesn't go far at a beauty spa. why not call her sister, or one of her girlfriends. They would no doubt have a good suggestion. Or just get the Shimano. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 Just get her a nice card and promise her that you will create less havoc the next 12 months. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 Here is another good idea. Get one of those digital picture frames and load it with a bunch of pictures of your family. Whatever you do....... DO NOT FORGET A CARD!!!! Quote
Super User grimlin Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 When i was younger,i would treat my mom dinner and take her out to the movie, zoo or museum. You'd be surprise how well that works too. Many teens don't spend much time with their parents and when i did it that way my mom loved it. Whatever you choose to do your mom will love it because you are being thoughtful to her.Best gift any parent could ask for. Quote
