Super User Muddy Posted September 3, 2008 Super User Posted September 3, 2008 Hey Fellas: A great man, who taught me how to get clean from drugs and stay clean from drugs, tragically relapsed some time ago. Over pain meds, I always prayed for him to come back. He was found dead this morning, it is a huge loss and a reminder of the gratitude I have to God for my own life having been saved a day at a time. This disease of addiction is no joke and it consumes everything in its path. Please pray for his soul, Quote
guitarkid Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I know how you feel man It is rough, A friend of mine killed himself something along those lines, he taught me everything, from how to change oil, to how tokeep good and loyal customers at his old business. -tumnus My thought s and prayers go out to you and your friends family. Super User Sam Posted September 3, 2008 Super User Posted September 3, 2008 Muddy, So sorry for his passing. Sometimes it is difficult to understand how these things happen but somehow there is a Master Plan that we are all players and for some reason we get stronger from these losses. I hope the pain and sadness lift in the near future as I know your friend would want for you. Hang in there. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 3, 2008 Super User Posted September 3, 2008 May God have mercy on his soul. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted September 3, 2008 Author Super User Posted September 3, 2008 This guy was not a street addict, it was he who taught me that no class is immune to addiction He was a Catholic Priest, in every sense of the word, he specialized in care of the elderly and poor, As a young man he was in a few horrific ski accidnets and had several back operations, including the insertion of rods. He didnt steal, didnt do a lot of the things I did, but those pain meds got him again and he couldnt stop. He passed in his sleep last night. Quote
