Super User Matt Fly Posted August 28, 2008 Super User Posted August 28, 2008 Adam Jones plays this year. By the way, for the second straight season, New England has the easiest schedule again. They're opponents have a combined record of .387. So that undefeated season looks good again this year. By the way, howed that work out for them last year? Can't wait to start the season. Go Cowboys. Super User fishinfiend Posted August 29, 2008 Super User Posted August 29, 2008 Maybe he will think twice before he makes it rain ;D Quote
Super User 5bass Posted August 29, 2008 Super User Posted August 29, 2008 Go Cowboys. Cowboys fans better pray that Romo looks better than he did the last 4 or 5 games of last season or it might get ugly down there real quick. Go Raiders! ;D Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 29, 2008 Author Super User Posted August 29, 2008 Cowboy fans are not patient. I know the maturation of young QB's, and I say young due to playing time, about 3-4 years. Romo has done what very few QB's have ever done in a season and a half. I have always thought you needed to be sharp in December, peaking, going into the playoffs. And Your dead on, the Cowgirls played poorly late season. When has Romo ever played 17 games in one season in his life. I think Romo needs to play into playing shape for a few extra games. Go Cowboys. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Reinstated 8/28... Suspended again before the season is done... How about a suspension pool? I say he is suspended during the Cowgirls bye week, the week of Nov 09, in an altercation at a Florida strip club... ;D Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 29, 2008 Author Super User Posted August 29, 2008 No worries. The PlayMaker, Mr. Irving took him under his wing. Lol. ;D ;D ;D Quote
Jake. Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Don't worry guys, he got rid of his old nickname, so everything will be OK now. : I can't wait for the season to start. Go Chargers! Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 30, 2008 Author Super User Posted August 30, 2008 Jake, whats your take on Shawn deciding to forego the knee surgey. I think God only gives you one set of knees and you should take care of them. Did 15 years stationed in San Diego with the Navy. Like the Chargers as well. Quote
flippin4it. Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 I seem to remember that you have to earn the right to play in the NFL. Any team that signs him is making a huge mistake. He lost the right to play in the NFL. GO CHIEFS!!!! Quote

Did 15 years stationed in San Diego with the Navy. Like the Chargers as well. I agree 100%. With the talent Merriman has, I can't understand why he would put his career in jepordy like this. He has so many great years ahead, just sit this one out and be ready for next season. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 It seems like Merriman thinks he'll lose something if he gets the surgery... I don't understand what that would be... He will sit out a year - at full pay - and rehab. Certainly not exciting, but it should lead to many fine years of playing. Whereas if he plays this year, he is pretty much guaranteed a worse injury and more invasive surgery, a longer recovery time, and the possibility of never playing again. It is the same stupidity that my teenage son displays...risk the whole future for a little gratification now... Plain Old Young and Dumb. Quote

bmadd Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Hopefully Pacman will stay out of trouble and give you the on-the-field stuff he showed us here in Tennessee. He's a great athlete and if he somehow finds a way to stay out of trouble he should be a huge playmaker and help you cowboys in playoff time As for my Titans......"sigh" :-/ Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 1, 2008 Super User Posted September 1, 2008 It really is hard to root for thugs , I don't care who they play for. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 1, 2008 Super User Posted September 1, 2008 It really is hard to root for thugs , I don't care who they play for. Not sure that throwing money in the air is considered a thug, but I'll vote with you anyways. As I don't like rooting for stupid people......................who throw money.... LOL b (cowboys passed on Randy Moss a few years back because of his off the field activities.....................was that a bad move??................we should have hired that hoodlum) Don't forget about the shooting that was related to that incident. I'm sure the paralized guy will never forget. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 I wasn't there, but if Jones shot somebody, he'd be in prison........but he didn't. ...... guns don't kill people............and throwing money in the air shouldn't get anybody killed either. Obviously he didn't think ahead (or think, at all) ; but I'm sure his hindsight is 20/20 just like everyone else's. PacMan entered the NFL, started getting the huge paychecks and didn't know how to handle himself........or his thug buddies for that matter. The $ made him think he was above the law. Hopefully Mr Goodell changed his outlook for him cause I dont think Michael Irvin is going to be much help. And don't get me started on Michael Irvin. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 ..............michael irvin???..........."the Playmaker"??.........on "America's Team"???................think i covered it, 5bass............LOL b I hear ya B....I certainly don't agree but I do hear you. I'm not starting in on Irvin, I gotta go to bed. Maybe tomorrow. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 2, 2008 Super User Posted September 2, 2008 Irvin was innocent!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! b (r. kelly too!!) :-X On that note.....see you fellas tomorrow! : ;D Quote
