bass wrangler569 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Sorry if this has been asked 1,000 times already but what kind of music do you guys like. I know every time I go to BPS or Cabelas or any other fishing retailer I always think that they pound country music down your throat. It seems like people have a stereotype that outdoors people are way into country stuff. I'm really into metal, mostly newer thrash, metalcore, and some death metal (lamb of god, shadows fall, all that remains, black dahlia murder, nile etc.) but also some older Metallica stuff and Iron Maiden as well. I also like classic rock (I'm a big Pink Floyd fan) and some neoclassical and intrumental shred guitar stuff as well. So what are you guys into. Quote
utser Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 blues, classic rock, some metal(maiden). rarely listen to country. always turn off rap. Quote

Cyork Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 95% of what I listen to is european metal  (almost entirely from scandinavia/ germany).  There are some classic bands from this side of the Atlantic (Megadeth, Exodus, Metallica's 3 non-sucky albums) but if you're into good metal europe is where it's at.  Norway has good Black Metal, Sweden has good Death/ and Melodeath, Finland has tons of great stuff (Gothic, Folk/ Heroic Folk, Fantasy, Melodeath, etc) and Germany has awesome Thrash bands that have been around since the 80's and are still flying the flag unlike the vast majority of their contemporaries from this side of the pond.  Arch Enemy Amon Amarth Kalmah Kreator Sodom Destruction Eternal Tears of Sorrow Amorphis Ensiferum Children of Bodom Deathstars Norther Nightwish (not really metal) Charon Entwine To/ Die/ For Poisonblack Tarot Immortal Enslaved and many more Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 24, 2008 Super User Posted August 24, 2008 50s, 60s and 70s rock and roll. A number of broadway plays, too, like A Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera, Mama Mia. Also like Johnny Cash and Garth Brooks. I listen to Cajun music in the car as it drives wife over the edge. Â Quote
