Super User .dsaavedra. Posted August 13, 2008 Super User Posted August 13, 2008 Here are a bunch of fossils i found in my creek a few years back: Any ideas on what that last one is? it appears to be a section of a creek bed. i am drawing this conclusion due to the fact that it is obviously preserved mud of some sort, and there are ripples in it, and there is an impression of some kind of oval shaped prehistoric critter with ridges on it in the lower right (trilobite maybe?) Anyway, i will be going back to the creek tomorrow to see if i can get anything better Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted August 13, 2008 Author Super User Posted August 13, 2008 OH! and please excuse the spray paint that is stuck to my thumbnail Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hey Muddy is considered a fossil but you don't want to see those pictures! Quote
BassinWill301 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Since we are on the topic of fossils here are some of my best sharks teeth: My Megalodon Tooth that I found (which makes it better than daves.) Some more big teeth I found Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted August 13, 2008 Super User Posted August 13, 2008 8th pic looks like a fossilized turd. ;D Was going to type your exact words. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted August 13, 2008 Super User Posted August 13, 2008 Was Dave painting his nails again? I'm worried about our little buddy. First he changes his avatar to that annoying purple teddy bear that everyone hates (if you have little kids then you know what I mean), then he paints his nails, ironically the same color as the purple teddy bear, and now he's collecting pet rocks. Avalonjohn44 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Any ideas on what that last one is? I see pieces like that sometimes, but don't know what they are, I leave them usually... Where do you guys go for your teeth? I used to hit Stratford Hall like mad until they closed it off. I make a trip to Calvert County MD and put a Kayak in near Dare's Beach and search, but haven't gone at all this year... Anyone ever go on any VMNH field trips? Quote
avid Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I think those pics are totally cool. I especially like the fourth one. Question. Is it a fossilized ravioli or pirogi? I guess it depends on the neighborhood. Quote
