Super User Muddy Posted August 10, 2008 Super User Posted August 10, 2008 Hey Fellas; One of the greatest R&B writers of all times, the man who along with Porter and Steve Cropper put STAX on the map has passed away You youngsters may know him as the voice of Chef on South Park. He was a great performer , won a grammy for HOT BUTTERED SOUL and for SHAFT. It was his writing, playing and producing that set him above the others. Wrote and produced for (among others) Sam and Dave, Booker T and the MG's, Wilson Pickett,Rufus Thomas.Otis Redding and Al Green THANKS ISAAC YOUR WORK WILL LIVE FOREVER ps the team of David Porter and Isaac Hayes wrote 200 tunes . my favorite I'm A Soul Man Quote
