Super User 5bass Posted August 7, 2008 Super User Posted August 7, 2008 Well, the saga is over. Favre has been traded to the Jets. I feel sorry for the Packers, they handled this whole situation like a bunch of circus clowns. The Jets just became a better team in my opinion. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted August 7, 2008 Super User Posted August 7, 2008 I'm just glad we don't have to deal with him twice a year anymore. He always seemed to find a way to beat the Lions in the last seconds. Falcon Quote

Just think of all the publicity that goes along with him. I was hoping that KC would pick him up. We need a QB, bad! Quote

I, too feel sorry for the Packers; Favre has behaved like a spoiled little kid or an attention monger. Last year, he wouldn't commit to playing until way late in the year. This time the Packers asked him if he was sure he wanted to retire then they drafted accordingly. Then after they waste the draft picks and move on, he selfishly decides he wants to still play. This guy has damaged his integrity in my opinion and alot of people feel the same way. > Sure the Jets are better off with him.........this year. He'll pull the same crap on them next year. At least the Jets might stand a chance against the Pats now. Quote

rondef Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 No the Jets will still loose both games to the Pats this season. Mangina (excuse me, Mangini) is not going to beat the Pats this season. Quote
mike bat Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 it was a tatcical move by the packers ... just like i said last night ,,, if they stick him with the jets they wont have to see him .... so now the whole game changes .... i will tell you ,, packers nation is watching ,, if brett makes a run to the bowl this year ... ted t and mike m will be run outta town .... i wanna say rodgers wont play this whole season ,,, he wont make it ... eighter way the cards are in rodgers hands .... imo just way too much to put a young brittle qb .... i hope brett has a good year and does well with the jets ... heck i now need a jets jersey with the 4 on it LOL ... ;D im still a packers fan ,,, ive just lost fath in the managment ,, we packers fans wanna win now .... I'm not so sure about that. It appears the Jets have already made moves in the offseason for some immediate improvement with the additions of Faneca, Pace, Jenkins, Woody, and also in picking a pass rushing LB in Gholston in the draft. I'm thinking maybe 9 wins this season. But I don't have much hope for the playoffs as the AFC east will be the toughest division in all of the NFL. Of course the Jets have disappointed me one or two (or thirty) seasons already. : Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 7, 2008 Super User Posted August 7, 2008 The Jets are trying to upgrade their talent and are doing a good job, slowly but surley. Faneca is a tremendous asset to the team and I think Brett will bring a lot of promise and hope to an otherwise dismal season. It should now be fun to watch the Jets and see what the team can do to improve its overall record and plan for the future. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 8, 2008 Super User Posted August 8, 2008 The funniest part of this deal is if the Jets trade Favre to the Vikings, they must give GB three 1st round draft picks. Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted August 8, 2008 Super User Posted August 8, 2008 The funniest part of this whole ordeal: Quote
baboosicbass08 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Welcome to the New York Bretts...oh i mean Jets Quote
