Super User burleytog Posted July 26, 2008 Super User Posted July 26, 2008 Rotoworld.com http://rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?sport=MLB&hl=244984 Is reporting that Theo Epstein told Tim McCarver earlier today that the Sox are going to make an effort to trade Manny in the next week if he waives his no-trade clause. Seems Manny and Francona had a Come To Jesus meeting last night. Quote
daviscw Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 The way the announcers talked today during the Yankee-Sox game, the whole Red Sox organization is tired of him. The whole fake knee injury thing would tick me off too if I was paying somebody millions and millions of dollars to toss around a ball. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 h kearned the basics on how to milk an injury from his former team mate and current Met high dollar loafer Pedro Martinez :-/ Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 I've got mixed feelings about Manny. He is a great player no doubt, but he is pushing things a little too far. Quote
Super User Tin Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 They have tried it time and time again but this time I think it will happen. They need a bullpen. Granted Manny is huge in their offense, but what use is 10 runs a game and a 5 run lead if your pitching can't hold it? Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 With all the smoke screens Minyas puttin up, I have a sinkin feeling he will be wearing Met Orange and Blue by next Fri, the latest :-/ Quote
RiskKid. Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I suspect Manny will continue being Manny in Boston. Like happened before he'll want too much from a new team (he still has trade veto) and the Bosox won't be able to get enough in return. He's a great talent and will settle down once again. I'll bet Red Sox nation will forgive and forget the next time he puts on a game winning performance. Just another episode of Manny being Manny! Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 If so he'll miss that great wall... ...and that great wall will miss him. Quote
Super User Muddy Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 Only when he has his bat in his hand, forget when he's wearing a glove : Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted July 27, 2008 Super User Posted July 27, 2008 Only when he has his bat in his hand, forget when he's wearing a glove : Manny isn't going to win a gold glove anytime soon, but he can play that wall better than most left fielders. Quote
Bassboy15 Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 As long as he's on his feet and not rolling around after a ball... : Quote
