Every now and then I will get an e-mail stating that if you receive a e-mail say from Joe Blow not to open it and to delete it. It will say it contains a virus. Question: how do you delete a e-mail without opening it ? If you click on it to delete it's going to open.

This is about as strange as Burley coming up with Tim Duncan. ;D

I was alaways curious about that as well.  But now that the only email I use is hotmail I don't worry about it because I can select an email without opening it.

With Outlook I'm pretty sure you can right click and other options come up. (Including delete.) With Yahoo, Hotmail, etc., there are usually boxes beside emails that you can click to check, then somewhere in the upper left there will be a delete button.

I believe with Outlook that what you see when you go to your inbox and select an email is only a preview.  If you right click, you do get options, as stated.  You have to double click the message or select "open" and then your message opens in another window. Then you could have issues.  Attachments of course require you to open them, which is something you should never do unless you know where its from.   I think this is the way in works.  I run McAfee and I have had 0 issues,  unlike that other well known security provider  >:(

my email provider has little boxes next to emails that you can click on to select the email and then delte it....just like how you would delete PM's on BR.

Nothing, just like picking. I know if I pick long enough you will come back with something. ;D

Change your view in Outlook and remove the preview pane.  Then you can click on an e-mail subject line without opening it.

MAC.....simple solution!!!!

End of the Story.

No virus protection needed.

x2 - been a mac user for over 4 years with no virus/spyware/malware problems with no antivirus software.  Can't say the same for my work PC.

You just may be living on borrowed time.

I'll take that time...until then, enjoy your viruses and crash issues.
