Link to the news article.....Tragic death of a 20 year old friend of mine...

http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080713/NEWS/807130380/1001/news

This young man has worked for me off an on for the last several of years doing survey work. Smart, caring kid who worked hard and went the extra mile. A sad loss to his family and those who loved him. That includes me. He knew the Lord and is now experiencing grace, but his family and I are feeling the loss. If you read the article and feel compelled to make a judgment about weather it was his fault or not, please save it. It makes little difference now. I was rich, handsome and bullet proof when I was 20 years old and I invented bad judgment calls. He may have made one, it but won't change much to point it out.

Thanks for listening. It helps me to talk about it. Pray for his family.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost a few friends to car crashes, and I guess the saying is true. "The good die young"

You and his family will be in my prayers.

Ronnie,

I know how you feel.

On Wednesday, July 9th, Luke Bashore of Fork Union, Virginia, a rising LSU senior, was on his way home from a friend's house when his car spun out on wet pavement, did a 180* turn and slammed into a tree on the driver's side.

It took the local volunteers and hour and a half to cut him out.

What is worse is that his dad is the County corner and he was called to the scene, not knowing it was his only son.

I am still upset at this loss.  Luke was a fantastic kid; loved LSU; was respected and liked by his high school friends; and had so much to offer society.

My prayers are with you and the family.

I think this is something we will never get over.

Very sad.  It's so hard when a young life is cut short.  But after the pain is gone, the good memories of such a wonderful person will be comfort to those left behind.

Prayers sent.

I'm really sorry to hear that Ronnie. It's a real eye-opener when someone that young passes away. It can happen to anyone at any time, and it's scary. My thoughts and prayers are with your and his families.
