wagn Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 That's why you wear really baggy clothes to the movies. You've be suprised what you can fit into cargo pants. x2 I always go to the movies with my wife, I mean I love her and all, but the real reason is that she has a really big purse. I can fit plenty of McDonalds in that thing Quote
Super User FishTank Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 I took the kids to see Wall-E over the weekend and dropped $50. It's just plain rediculious but it was a great movie. Quote
Super User Micro Posted July 16, 2008 Author Super User Posted July 16, 2008 You need to find another place to patronize. Large Sprite and a medium popcorn around here will run you about $7. I got two free tickets from my employer. AMC theaters is nothing like what I got charged at Regal. And AMC's theaters are nicer, too. If I ever go back to Regal (and it will only be with free tickets) I just won't brush my teeth the day before and I'll just suck some plaque off my teeth if I get hungry. Quote
moby bass Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Has it crossed your minds to possibly not go or if you go to possibly not buy their over-priced food and drink ??????????????????? Just wondering. Absolutely! That's why I don't go. Quote
Bill U Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I feel your pain, go with Coke Points and AMC theatres! ;D Quote
Super User burleytog Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 Well, I will say this. Buying concessions is not a requirement to watch a film. I couldn't tell you the last time I bought anything other than a ticket. I detest watching a flick while eating. Quote
simplejoe Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I always take the kids to the drive-in It keeps the kids outdoors and I pay 12 bucks for me and the family to watch two movies the best part is we take a cooler full of drinks and food. So I pay 12 bucks for a night out of the house not bad..... ;D ;D Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 I normally do not buy stuff to eat at the movies and my wife and I bring in our own drinks and snacks. However, when I went to the latest Indiana Jones movie I decided to treat myself with a large drink and popcorn. During the movie I missed the cup holder on the arm rest and dropped the drink on the floor. The popcorn was not that great, either. But I did have a good time. Next up is Mama Mia followed by the new James Bond movie coming out in November. Otherwise, we rent movies and stay home and watch them. Quote
