Super User burleytog Posted June 20, 2008 Super User Posted June 20, 2008 I wonder if repeated freeze/thaw makes these things inedible? Oh well, gonna find out really quick. :-/ Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 20, 2008 Author Super User Posted June 20, 2008 Still feeling fine after two cups of butterscotch. Bought a box of them for deer camp last fall, forgot to get them out of the camper pantry before I put the camper up for the winter. Those things saw temps from 5* to 100*. Quote

skillet Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 You've probably heard this from guys my age that were in the ARMY. C-rations for the most part really SUCKED. One of the things that you got in them that was always good was canned fruit. I opened a box of them once and got a can of peaches which was a real treat. Turned the can over and they were canned the year before I was born . They were 21 yrs old! No hesitation involved, they were GREAT ... As Ever, skillet Quote
