Cuz .... God Knows Steroids help you with touch for the short Game

Maybe Driving ..... but you only drive the ball 8-10 times at most / round

Golfing is a game where you can either play or you can't

Tiger was skinny lil kid not very long ago, all of a sudden he jumped in size....do a litlle homework, hunt down some ol pictures of him, compare them from season to season, No doubt the boy has talent, but come on here guys are we all blind?

Posted

He went from a Teenager to a Man in front of the public

How did your body type differ from 17 - 30 ?

You add 13 years of athletic conditioning to that and this change....

Like you said...>"Do a little research"

If half the playing field had as much steriods in them as Tiger does, well then they'd be great too.

Wow! And you can tell he's on steroids just by looking at him? You are truly gifted.

So you think that if Phil Mickelson got out of the donut line and into the steroid line he'd be as good as Tiger? Same with John Daly?

Interesting.

The Tiger is phenomenal, but I think you folks may be forgetting some of the unbelievable putts Mr. Nicklas used to make during his tenure on the links. Tiger in his prime or Jack in his prime?? Tough choice because I really like them both, but Jack has always been my favorite. Still, Tiger kinda "grows on you" the more a person watches him. IMO:o)

BTW: I seriously doubt that 'roids of any kind will help anyone sink a 65 foot putt that breaks to the left nearly 10 feet. That, my friend, takes talent, touch, countless hours of practice, and nerves of steel. The old golfing adage "Drive for show. Putt for dough" comes to mind. Again, IMO.

Since childhood, Jack has always been the golfer Tiger strives

to emulate.  A pretty high standard don't you think? Time will tell,

but his career is certainly on the right path and heading in that

direction.

BTW, Jack Nicholas is Tiger's biggest fan!

Great post.

Jack had something Tiger doesn't, competition.

Jack had to beat Palmer, Player, and the rest. Nobody seems to want any part of challenging Woods.

Either Tiger is just that dominant, or the rest of the field is just happy cashing 2nd place checks (I think it's a little of both).

Tiger isn't on 'roids.  He uses beta-blockers.  Totally different.

Funny how some people just cannot appreciate the success of others.  They just HAVE to start rumors and gossip.  I don't get it.

I don't watch golf, except for the clips on sportscenter, nor I have ever played it, but i have to respect a guy that can be as dominant at what he does as Tiger has been.

If half of the professional bass fishermen had as much steriods as KVD does, well then they'd be great too. ::)

Like Daniel said, everyone else in the field is happy placing 2nd these days. It's like they show up and expect Tiger to win.

I was glad to see Rocco step it up and challenge Tiger like he did. When Rocco was 1 up with two to go I thought for sure he would win because he was hitting everything straight and sinking some nice putts.....then the Tiger Factor kicked in and the rest is history. A big key to Tiger's success is that he never "beats himself". (like Mickleson tends to do a couple times a year) You have to beat Tiger.....and that's obviously easier said than done.

Both guys played great golf but Tiger was one shot better than Rocco. I really didnt think it would take him 91 holes to prove it though.

Rocco had the very best week of his career, ranked 158 coming into the competition with no Major wins and no wins of any kind for 6 years. Talk about "kickin' it up a notch!"

On the other hand, with the exception of Saturday's round, Tiger brought his "B Game". He could hardly hit a fairway and scrambled out of the rough and sand for most of the Open. When he has his "A Game" going, like Saturday, no one in the game today can stand up to that kind of performance.

Hmm...

Now it turns out that in addition to a knee recovering from surgery,

Tiger also suffered from a stress fracture in his leg...

Well, Burley Oats...

That's what I call the "The Greatest Win" in the history of golf.

Why do you guys dislike Tiger? I don't get it. I think I know but I'm not gonna start an argument.

He is, in my opinion that WILL be proven in time, the greatest golfer (maybe athlete) of all time, he's a total class act, and the epitome of what a role model should be.

Steroids ArcticCat? Put your glasses on and stop drinking, as my grandfather used to say. No one on tour works out or practices harder than Tiger. No one.

And Daniel My Bratwurst - Tiger has no competition? As The Dude once said, "Obviously, you're not a golfer."

This tournament win was a huge feat, especially the manner in which it was won and the circumstances surrounding it. I'll never forget that putt on the 72nd hole. Tiger ALWAYS makes the putt when he absolutely needs it most, and it sends chills down my spine every time I think about it.

Glenn - are you sure Tiger uses beta blockers?

Well, Tiger ranks #2 behind Oprah in terms of celebrity earnings and

recognition. Even if some of our guys aren't fans, Tiger is golf.

Take a look at last weekend's rating and even more impressive,

Monday on daytime tv...Mind boggling!

I believe it was Tiger's greatest win and arguably the greatest all time. It was without a doubt the most exciting golf tournament I have ever seen. Whether you love him or not, Tiger is fun to watch. BTW, Rocco was an inspiration. His attitude is a credit to him and golf. If he never wins another tournament, he will always be on my list of favorites.
