Super User roadwarrior Posted June 15, 2008 Super User Posted June 15, 2008 Tiger just took the lead. If he wins THIS US Open, it will be "The Greatest Win" in the history of golf. Even if you don't care about golf, you should tune in to a historical event in sports, just to say "I saw it!" -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior 8-) Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted June 15, 2008 Super User Posted June 15, 2008 He is awesome. I will never in my life forget that epic putt several years ago when the ball just sat on the edge of the cup for what seemed like an eternity before falling in the cup. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted June 15, 2008 Author Super User Posted June 15, 2008 : The greatest win in the history of golf? How so? Tiger hasn't played 18 holes since his surgery. #2 for another Grand Slam. 8-) Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 A 6 week layoff makes for the 'greatest win in golf history'? Quote
daviscw Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 You obviously didn't watch his shots from yesterday. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 Rocco looks like the one to beat now. Great attitude. Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 Tiger has nothing on Happy Gilmore. Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 The BIG question is can Tiger's knee stand another 18 holes? Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 What a great putt. Yeah! Tiger in an 18 hole play-off...Nothin' to talk about... 8-) Are you serious? A playoff is the worst thing that could happen to La Tigra. He has to spend another day walking on that bum knee. Quote
preach4bass Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 His knee seemed to get better today. He said that he took something to ease the pain. I would assume that he'd take some more of whatever it was tomorrow morning and he'll be alright to walk, play, and win the 18-hole shootout. Quote
Fishing Doug Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 A 6 week layoff makes for the 'greatest win in golf history'? I'm going with X2...I'm not seeing this as TIGER'S greatest win....let alone the greatest in the history of golf.... Quote
Super User South FLA Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 Tiger was impressive and I hope he LOSES in the playoff to Rocco, but it won't happen, he is too cool under pressure. Jack is still king though!! Quote

ArcticCat500 Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Tigers good but not nearly as fun to watch as... Well said my friend, well said. If half the playing field had as much steriods in them as Tiger does, well then they'd be great too. Quote

Where did you come up with that comment? > Quote
ring fry Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 What a great putt. Yeah! Tiger in an 18 hole play-off...Nothin' to talk about... 8-) Tiger's putt on 18 was like Chalmers shot at the end of regulation in the NCAA Basketball Championship. Yes it's going to overtime but TMIAO (this match is all over) Don't get me wrong, Rocco is a great guy and it would be awesome if a 45 year old, short knocker, could win, but it ain't going to happen.
