What,....have you never noticed??......we park wherever we want, lol.

The driver was most likely getting ready to sweep out his truck and figured it would be easier on an angle.

He drives like our pick up and delivery driver... I swear most UPS drivers were taught to back up by braille... .  sorry LBH, just most of the drivers for UPS just don't care.

I'll have to take offense on that one as I personally trained drivers for the last 6 yrs, lol.  I can tell you this, we train, and retrain and drill and re-drill our drivers more than any other fleet oriented company out there.  Bar none, hands down.  Most people see us backing and assume it is haphazard when in reality, we have assessed over 20 variables before the truck was ever shifted in to reverse (things like assessing the yard for pets[water bowls, leashes] signs of kids[toys], overhangs, width, where is the "out",etc) and over 180 before we complete the stop.

Also, there is a camera.  You have no idea how often most people think we got "lucky" on that maneuver, but don't realize we had a full scope of the environment the whole time.

If you have a problem with the level of driving skill and training involved with a UPS driver, I'm sorry to say, you have an issue with all but an extremely small percentage of the population.

Law enforcement and stunt drivers are the only ones that get training above and beyond what we do.  Even at that, the "safety" (strictly regarding the driving aspect of their job)side of their training is not as in depth as ours, I can guarantee that.  So can OSHA, the NTA and Liberty Mutual.  But all that means nothing, it's our performance record that counts and ours speaks for itself.

:)

Just for the record.

They may get all that training, but they dont slow down till they smash into our dock.... not a gentle bump,, but a crash, lmao....

I am sure they are all well trained, but we seem to get the worst of the bunch every time they change drivers....  Maybe UPS just dont like us anymore. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

How far do you have to go to deliver a sewing machine?

I guess you have to go all the way down the hill.  ;D ;D ;D

And it took three police officers to explain how far to back up.....

Just joking.....

My uncle worked for UPS all his life and he said only two things will stop a UPS driver, death and Hurricanes and they don't have Hurricanes in Dubois, PA only Nittany Lions (his jokes are as bad as mine). :)
