frogtog Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I became a Grandpa eight months ago and it has been just like having my own kids again. Another one of God's blessing. Camden was born with two holes in his heart and will have to undergo surgery Tuesday morning to repair them. I have never been this scared and depressed in all my life. All of your prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Quote

Cigarlover 1 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Prayers to you and your family. I'll be thinking about that little guy. My wife gave birth to our first child last Friday. As a new parent I can't even imagine how hard it must be for you and your family. Medical technology is so advanced these days it's unbelieveable what all they can do. Keep us posted. Quote
ba7ss3in Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I can't imagine what your family is going through. I look at my 14 month old girl and thank God that she is healthy. It would be very hard for me to go through something with such a young child. Stay strong and my God bless you and your family. Quote

frogtog Posted June 16, 2008 Author Posted June 16, 2008 We just found out that due to a small ear infection Camden's surgery has been postponed for a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted and thanks for the replies. Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted June 16, 2008 Super User Posted June 16, 2008 Frogtog, my thoughts are with you. When my daughter was born she had a problem with her heart and had open heart surgery when she was 5 weeks old. It can be tough but just remember the doctors who do these surgeries know exactly what they are doing and will do everything to make it easier for the child. Medical advances have been amazing for these kinds of surgeries. She is now 10 years old with no problems or restrictions. She is a great fishing partner.... Not sure how far away from the hospital you live but if its a long way check out the Ronald McDonald house. We lived there for 3 weeks, the people there are wonderful. Quote
